Title: The Sound of Silence
Pairing: Jared/Jensen

Summary:
Jensen is deaf, and he starts teaching American Sign Language classes at his college after losing his job. Jared is forced to take ASL as an elective class after a dare from his roommate Chad, but he's immediately bothered by his teacher for some unknown reason, and ends up being a jerk to him, also refusing to pay attention to his classes. One night, Jared is walking to a bar and is attacked by three guys who beat him up. Jensen finds him and tries to call for help, using his voice which he never does since he's ashamed of it. Jared ends up with a brain injury that causes aphasia, a temporary loss of speech. He doesn't know who saved him, only remembers a voice.

Chad convinces Jensen to help Jared, since he's feeling very down after the loss of speech, and asks Jensen to teach Jared ASL so he can communicate. After a rough start they are able to bond and become very close, with Jensen teaching Jared much more than just a way to communicate, and realizing he has also a lot to learn from Jared in return.

Once again it has been my pleasure and good fortune to participate in the Big Bang at spn_j2_bigbang and this year I was delighted to be partnered with the wonderful and the super talented lullysg who provided me with a truly fabulous story, The Sound of Silence to create artwork for. I'm sure you will adore her story as much as I do.

Title: You’ve Got to be Kitten Me

Summary: Jensen lives a routine, solitary life with little to no interaction and he likes it just fine. He’d rather not deal with the fuss and rejection of making and keeping connections, so when a stray cat shows up at his apartment building and begs for attention every time they cross paths, Jensen does what he can to ignore it. That doesn’t last long and he finds himself carving out a space in his world to make it feel at home. As their bond grows, Jensen worries that he’s doing enough, which brings him to a veterinary clinic run by the very nice and very handsome Dr. Jared Padalecki. The vet’s open, warm personality gets to Jensen the same way his new cat has, and Jensen fights against his own hang-ups to get to know him. Features a very wee and very fluffy white and grey Maine coon kitten that grows into a full-size mammoth; lots of cuddling and sitting/sleeping on Jensen; a scene where the cat and both guys are caught in a hard downpour; a litter of kittens, including Jared holding the tiny things in his ginormous palm; the guys making out while totally soaked.
