Summary: When Jared Padalecki was 15, he loved 2 things: the small traveling rodeo he worked at that summer & JR, a cocky 16- year-old also working there. Jared had planned to run away with the rodeo until the night when it all changed, & JR disappeared with only a rushed goodbye and a kiss
Now 15 years later, Jared is fighting to keep his family ranch after the death of his father when a call from an old friend takes him back to that same rodeo and to a familiar face
Jensen Ackles had never known a good moment in his young life. Running away at 14, he planned to keep running to avoid those looking for him. Working a rodeo the summer he was 16 was the only bright spot he’d ever known. That was until his past caught up with him, and he had to run from the rodeo and from Jared.
Fifteen years of misery has Jensen now struggling to find himself and avoid a man who still wants to control him. When old friend offers a solution, he finds himself face to face with Jared.
Together the two men could be the answer to each other’s problems, but as Jensen struggles to heal from years of abuse, Jared not only has to fight to keep his ranch but also help his friend heal and learn to trust again and maybe even love.
