No Ordinary Accessories (Noa) is a bespoke manufacturing house creating lighting and objects for the hospitality industry. We partnered with Noa at their inception – working alongside them to develop their naming, visual identity system, custom typography, digital experiences, and even a soon-to-be-released physical lamp. The identity is rooted in bold geometric forms – stripped down to their essentials – yet creating enough movement and flexibility to expand effortlessly into a rich, dynamic, textural system.

White Ribbon—the largest movement of men, boys, and allies working together to build a world free from gender-based violence and discrimination—partnered with us to redesign and reimagine their identity.

As an organization driven by passion and energy, White Ribbon’s visual language needed to be expressive, reflecting their relentless spirit and expansive approach. The new logo balances humanity and connectivity, remaining recognizable while staying rooted in the brand’s established equity.

Oskar Group is a multidisciplinary real estate development and management company, dedicated to creating spaces that seamlessly integrate site, context, and community, all while reflecting a unique sense of place.

Impossible Toronto emerged from what on the surface appears as a relatively straight forward question – What does the future of the city look like? What should it look like?

An initiative of the Neptis Foundation – Impossible Toronto seeks to envision new typologies in the city’s landscape. First in an ongoing series – “On the Courtyard, Learning from European Blocks” is the culmination of a yearlong investigation by Studio VAARO and Gabriel Fain Architects where they propose a new built form for Toronto – the courtyard block.

Spanning both a publication and immersive website – their study acts a starting point – inviting us to imagine new possibilities of designing, building, and living within the ever-evolving city.

The Frederick – a new bar and grill in the heart of Toronto's downtown – celebrates the spaces in which we gather and share. Drawing its name from the building's original architect, Frederick Henry Herbert – the visual language was developed to reflect the sophisticated yet unassuming atmosphere of the restaurant.

Grounded in confidence, The Frederick moves effortlessly between contemporary boldness and timeless elegance, shaping a visual language that is refined yet playfully expressive.

Rooted in a familial history, the Deleo family emigrated from Italy to Toronto and opened Tre Mari bakery in the heart of Corso Italia over 60 years ago — bringing with them their love of food, and deep sense of community.

Now in its third generation, they sought to reimagine this beloved institution’s identity, packaging, and visual system.

It is a true responsibility to be entrusted with the history of a family as well as its future. Our identity lives in the space in-between, reflecting and celebrating their legacy, while simultaneously expanding and moving it forward through typographic playfulness, color and a pure soulful spirit.

Echoes of the Land: Winemakers of Portugal was conceived by photographer and journalist Vivian Bibliowicz as a true portrait of Portugal through those who dedicate their lives to wine.

Chronicling nearly 100 winemakers, the book tells the unique stories embedded in this diverse landscape – from historic wineries to small scale producers in lesser-known terroirs alongside innovative projects and cooperatives sustaining local economies.

Echoes of the Land is more than a book about wine, it is an exploration of identity, tradition and passion. It is a discovery of the stories and the relentless spirit of the winemakers shaping this land.

Rooted in complex explorations of material and form, MOCA's Spring 2025 exhibitions span sculpture, installation, painting, moving images, textiles and sound. Drawing inspiration from the diversity of practices on display, we designed an adaptable system – employing an economy of means with profound thought. We repurposed the same print run – spanning brochures, posters, and display graphics to create a never ending scroll of inspiration in a series of ever expanding possibilities.

Experience Brampton is an invitation to explore, experience and reimagine the city of Brampton and its innate multicultural richness. Versatile and dynamic both in expression and intent, it celebrates the fabric of the city through its arts, culture, community, events, sports, food etc.

Guided by Brampton’s’ multifaceted nature, and its continuous transformation, we designed a colorful, energetic and flexible system, that gives space for diverse offerings and is reflective of the city’s cultural vibrancy.

Organized by the Trapholt Museum of Modern Art in Denmark, Feel Me, is an international exhibition exploring the ways in which emotion, technology, and physiology intersect within contemporary art.

Taking the form of a large-scale installation, Blok's contribution, RÅW, is set against the backdrop of our excessive exposure to over stimulation and demands on our mental energy. It is an invitation to become active participants, recognizing and wearing our most vulnerable emotions inside out.

In a continuous state of transformation, the installation is deconstructed by audience participation—revealing the true emotional cartography through the spaces in-between.

Envisioned as a celebration of desire, grace, pleasure and the many forms it can take, AFM—A Fucking Magazine—is a new publication by FEELD, the dating app for the emotionally, physically and intellectually curious.

Joyful and sensual—the inaugural issue explores the ‘Pursuits of Happiness’. Our design interplays type, materiality, translucency and texture, drawing from the full dimensionality of the human experience.

Coinciding with the School of Dream’s 20th anniversary, photography duo Graydon Herriott travelled to Ghana to document the incredible impact the organization has had in creating a safe learning environment for the youngest.

The corresponding publication and exhibition celebrates this milestone, and provides the organization’s advocates in Canada a look at the transformation their support has propelled.

Working across three continents, Workshop shapes memorable spaces by developing unique custom furniture for the hospitality industry. Inspired by their own playfulness and innate curiosity, we designed an identity system that is simple in form yet dynamic at its core. Reimagining the visual language of furniture, allowed us to create opportunities for movement and experimentation. The identity is complemented by a distinct digital experience, inviting the user to discover Workshop’s capabilities and ethos.

Located in Prince Edward County, the newly launched County Adaptation Film Festival (CAFF) is a celebration of film as its own creative impetus. “It's not where you take things from—it's where you take them to.” —Jean-Luc Godard 

To honour its intent, we designed a visual identity rooted in the concept of transformation, a journey that embraces both the tangible and intangible—exploring the vision of writers and artists and the process of adaptation—to see anew. 

A new frontier in meditation, prayer and advanced technology, duawalla is a system designed to enhance spiritual practice and maximize its benefits—balancing body, mind and spirit. This identity exists at the convergence of technology and humanity, serving as an invitation to deepen the senses.

Based out of Singapore, Hess Academy is a beacon of inspiration, guiding young minds towards the uncharted territories of their potential. Rooted in a spirit of curiosity, Hess is much more than a tutoring academy — it's an open invitation dedicated to sparking a lifelong love of learning.

El Zanjón is one of Argentina’s most significant archaeological sites, painstakingly restored over the past 38 years by Jorge Eckstein. Situated in the heart of San Telmo—one of Buenos Aires’ oldest neighbourhoods—El Zanjón is a magical journey unveiling a city through poetry, history and myth.

We designed an identity system, digital experience and created content that captures El Zanjón’s distinctive architecture, landmark buildings and hidden labyrinth of vaulted brick tunnels. The museum is multi-faceted, dedicated to preserving the history of a city and shining a light on how its past mirrors its present.

Envisioned by the team behind Ryuko, KOKO is a casual Japanese eatery situated at The Calgary Farmers’ Market’s new West location. Rooted in the visual language of Japanese convenience store culture (konbini), its design serves as a nostalgic nod to the elements that ground us in the familiarity of our daily lives. In Japanese, KOKO can be translated as ‘baby tiger’ — since ‘ko’ means both ‘tiger’ and ‘child’ — which inspired the playfulness of this identity system, brimming with small moments of unexpected joy.

Spanning sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, moving-image and sound, MOCA’s 2023 Fall program includes artists Phyllida Barlow’s Eleven Columns, Liz Magor’s The Separation, and The Wedge Collection’s Dancing in the Light, part two of The City is a Collection series.  

Our design approach was inspired by the tension and dialogue of the materiality itself, emphasizing translucency, and the tactile qualities presented in the exhibitions. The typographical system created an equal presence for all, yet it is through the use of color that it highlights the uniqueness of each. 

NU is a production company committed to building stories that stand at the intersection of art and social change — with a deep belief in the power of impactful, inspirational and authentic stories. Their projects vary from TV, Features, Documentaries to Auditory and Experimental. 

We designed a bold and explorative identity system, both in form and content to honor its experimental spirit and its mandate of creative independence.

Kapwani Kiwanga’s exhibition Remediation at MOCA expands on her research into how botany has long held a relationship to exploitation and acts of resistance — including how plant life has and may intervene in the rejuvenation of contaminated environments.

Our approach to the exhibition’s design is rooted in Kiwanga’s practice, emphasizing her use of colour and materiality while drawing attention to the many narratives and connectivities expressed throughout her work.

Remediation is co-organized by MOCA and the Remai Modern where it will be presented again in the fall. ​​Kiwanga is among the world’s most important working artists today and will represent Canada at the 2024 Venice Biennale.

Beanstory, a subscription based service for direct to consumer beans, was born with a clear intent to reconnect people to what they eat, where their food comes from and the profound impact their everyday choices have. With a selection of 9 bean varieties consciously sourced from select organic farms around the US, the packaging needed to be bold and considered yet flexible enough to allow for future products. We designed a typeface inspired by the shape of a bean and the letter “B” that is ownable and recognizable, giving room for constant play.

BAO (Brampton Arts Organization) is a unique organization focused on advocating, amplifying and connec​​ting the arts through a rang​e of thoughtful programs and resources. Its identity reflects and honours the diversity of the artists and the multiplicity of visions living and working in place.

This book originates from the most profound love of land and identity. It is a convergence of talents, passions, thoughts, textures, flavours, creative forces, and unique sensibilities with an innate character, inherited from the indigenous cultures that have formed and illuminated Mexican culture.

From the materiality of carbon paper—the nearly discarded—to the impossibility of a typeface that has yet to be launched, ORIGEN MÉXICO reaches across time and space to deliver narratives that are multiple, rich, and authentic. This book honours the inherent beauty of the country and gives immense gratitude to those who have moved us to see further and deeper. All of the profits from the book support accessible education in Mexico.

Ryuko is a new Japanese kitchen and bar restaurant concept in Calgary offering a space to connect through the value and love of food. In Japanese, ryuko means both “dragon and tiger” which perfectly captures the strong yet complementary personalities of the restaurant’s business partners. We designed a flexible visual language that takes on a contemporary approach to traditional Japanese sensibility, textures and imagery.

District Tennis is an organization committed to fostering a competitive, fun and safe tennis environment for all communities. We were approached to design an educational and self-reflective journal that would accompany players in their athletic journey, grounded in the desire to better one’s self (a mejorar).

The book, Alberto Kalach Taller de Arquitectura X, is an expansive compendium of 40 years of thoughtful and compelling architecture. Alberto’s work has focused on both private and public projects, ranging from chapels and houses to large-scale urban plans. This book brings together more than 150 projects organized into six chapters or typologies —ships, dwellings, houses and gardens, towers, ensembles and roofs— that show a universe of explorations around architecture and the city.

This book celebrates the dialogue between simplicity, texture, light and the creative process itself. Designed with clarity and rawness as an invitation to participate and explore both the architecture and the profound thinking imminent in every project. It is a dance between time, space and geometry, and the infinite creative pursuit.

The MOCA Toronto Award honours and recognizes both visual artists and leaders for their innovation, accomplishment, and contribution to contemporary art. We created an identity that celebrates the award recipients and illuminates their legacy.

Thomas Demand’s exhibition HOUSE OF CARD at MOCA, refers to the precariousness of Demand's practice as a builder. Whereas architecture generally equates with permanence, Demand prefers to explore the limits of the ephemeral. Our approach to the exhibition's materials was an honouring of the role of architecture in Demand’s work. Exploring one singular large format piece, that through the process of construction and deconstruction could transform both content and form.

Girl Meet Money (GMM) is a female led fintech company purposefully driven to change women’s relationship to money by shifting the paradigm and creating a new space to participate. A space where women can access possibilities and enrich their lives through education, connectivity, and community. We designed an identity that highlights the idea that money is energy in motion and expressed it through its fluidity and dynamic colour palette.

Dating back to 1879, The Royal Hotel has been lovingly restored by a local family, reimagined for today’s traveller while honouring its strong roots in the community, situated at the heart of Prince Edward County.

We worked alongside architects GPAIA from day one to ensure every detail was considered — influenced by the layers of materiality to its full visual language, we created an identity that weaves together history and a unique sense of place. The logo itself is inspired by the language of cross-stitching and its connection to Prince Edward County’s heritage. Along with designing the visual identity for The Royal our involvement included the website, photography, menu systems, packaging, signage and architectural pieces.

With building construction breaking ground in 2015 our journey with The Royal Hotel has been nothing short of memorable. After designing the brand identity, we were approached to bring the same care and attention to a fully customized website. An invitation for users to explore the hotel and by extension Prince Edward County. The digital experience truly reflects the brand’s essence while seamlessly integrating all of the functionality to fulfill The Royal’s various offerings, including the integration of three booking engines and four restaurant menus. From the visual storytelling found in the seasonally rotating gallery to the custom icons inspired by the hotel’s architecture, we designed unexpected moments for users to uncover.

Under the new brand büro klaus, Klaus is developing and manufacturing products for today’s lived environment, which include evolved edits of iconic pieces, as well as new products. büro klaus challenges the design landscape and marks a new chapter in the Nienkämper family’s 52-year story as a leading retailer and manufacturer of high-quality contemporary furniture in North America. Our long standing relationship with the family meant we were once again invited to participate in this transformation for a truly cohesive and holistic brand experience.

Curated by Daisy Desrosiers, Rui Mateus Amaral and November Paynter, Greater Toronto Art 2021 (GTA21), brings together twenty-one of the most energizing artists and art collectives working in Toronto and asks each one of them to consider, “What is urgent to you today?”.

We were invited by the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto (MOCA) to design the exhibition identity, environmental graphics and printed publication of this large scale exhibition and new triennial. Rooted in the profound belief of remembering, storytelling, questioning, resisting, celebrating and making, this identity had to honour the re-imagining of a city and the artists working in it.

Nienkämper is a furniture company that has pursued the highest ideals in design and manufacturing since the 1960’s. It has collaborated with some of the most prominent architects and designers such as Frank Gehry and Karim Rashid among many others. After a long standing working relationship, we were invited to redesign Nienkämper’s identity system to align itself with the shifts in society and workplace as well as their new vision for the future. Grounded in the company’s values and spirit, we evolved the identity balancing its legacy in design and sense of place with a renewed context for a new generation.

living beauty inc. develops and inspires meaningful connections between the most innovative brands, trusted retailers and respected professionals in the industry. We designed an identity and packaging system, as well as a digital experience that parallels the brand's fluid understanding of beauty, its dimensionality, how it can expand and its possibility to transform.

Only with the senses can architecture truly be understood. Inspired by the balance of subtlety, spatial richness, and geometric forms found in the firm’s work, the new superkül identity is based in an interplay of tone, shape and materiality. The design contain a series of deliberate “unoccupied spaces”, a reflection that architecture is as much about the spaces in-between as the built form.

To celebrate their first ten years, we set out to create a book with deeply personal, intuitive experience that would reflect the firm’s unique philosophy and design approach. From the experimental format with subtle paper transitions and special silver finishes to the different printing techniques used in production, the book’s materiality mirrors the firm’s work.

With an unwavering commitment to tread lightly in this world, our New Førs Packaging System is sustainable, recyclable and boldly sexy. We have always believed in the economy of means. To try to achieve the most with essential essence: with purity and clarity. Holding the utmost respect for our environment and its limited resources with intention and consideration.

We designed everything — from the name, visual identity and digital experience, to the packaging and tableware itself for førs, a new product design studio creating poetic objects for the everyday. This custom e-commerce website was thoughtfully designed and coded — balancing functionality and design — in order to create a seamless and elastic experience.

At the core of førs, our new product design studio, is the understanding that objects carry meaning and can transform our everyday lives. This identity with its bold, soulful visual language alludes to the company’s poetic intent. We designed everything — from the name, visual identity and custom e-commerce website, to the packaging and tableware itself. As both the client and designers of our own new company, every interaction needed to live up to its essence.

A physical and digital publication, LAT Magazine is the means by which we connect many viewpoints, perspectives, cultures, stigmas and non-stigmas in a conversation that emanates from cannabis and extends to our everyday life. An initiative of 48North, LAT creates a tangible and porous space in which we can have ongoing dialogues about relevant issues of our time — about art, personal journeys and exploration, amnesty, equality, sex, self-love, and perseverance. From design, art direction, production, and content development, we worked from conceptualization to the final product.

Having worked together over the years on both their identity and book, we designed superkül a new website⁠—an exploratory experience of layered visuals, subtle interactions, and bold movement reflecting the unique philosophy of this architecture firm.

Based in Mexico City, AAGO is a digital investment company whose lateral thinking and foresight is shifting the financial space. The identity explores AAGO’s unique elasticity and agility through its fluid movement and clarity, highlighting the company’s visionary impetus of always pushing further.

Women’s Creative Collective is an inclusive space for women with diverse voices to come together in order to share, reclaim, expand and challenge ideas and experiences that will enrich our uniqueness, our communities and cross borders. The design draws from this core, finding the space in an intentional expression of opportunities to come and multiplicity of voices in a constant state of becoming through geometric shapes that build new combinations and a logo equipped for expansiveness.

A historic architectural landmark with a lively and colourful past has been meticulously restored and reimagined as a luxury boutique hotel. The identity, which includes everything from wayfinding to in-room items to branding the different spaces to menus, balances the hotel’s new bold, contemporary voice with witty touches of colour and language in homage to the eclectic details found in the interiors and to the building’s down-to-earth, gritty east end roots.

48North, a bold female led company is rethinking the landscape of cannabis in Canada. With their main focus being women we set out to create a brand that would represent the expansiveness, the boldness and the clarity of a company that is challenging preconceptions and opening possibilities.
Latitude, a communication platform, was created with the intent to celebrate the stories of women who use the plant in their journey towards health and wellness by bringing to life the deeply personal experiences that reflect 48North’s unique philosophy and visionary approach.

Guest curated by Pharrell Williams, with curators John Wee Tom and Sara Nickleson, This Is Not A Toy is the first major exhibit of designer toys worldwide. Held by the Design Exchange Museum, the show includes works by Takashi Murakami and KAWS amongst others, and projects by FriendsWithYou and Magic Pony. The identity and exhibit graphics needed to straddle the same art and street worlds occupied by the toys, and were inspired as much by the work of contemporary artists as by the pink and white striped canvas walls that adorn the stands in the food markets of Mexico City.

Translating the magazine to a digital experience meant thinking about how these two formats would uniquely interact and engage, creating a space for global dialogues and perspectives. We designed a custom website for LAT, with an editorial eye, offering a dynamic flow to showcase the photography and writing.

As 48North leads the way into rethinking our relationship with cannabis, we were invited to develop a new line of products called F8 / F8TE. We loved the challenge to design products that balance the beauty of the experience and interact seamlessly into our lives.

Paying homage to famous racer Alberto Ascari, Erik Joyal and John Sinopoli’s Italian eatery Ascari is grounded in their love of racing and food. The identity refresh centers on layered language of racer car graphics, 1950's inspired typography, and the racer’s signature blue.

The Think8 Global Institute (T8G) trains individuals and organizations to fully understand their True Worth and with it create the New Possible for themselves, society and a world in need. We designed an identity and custom typography that would reflect T8G’s divergent thinking and unique approach. Additionally we created a multipurpose piece, a publication/poster, mirroring their acute approach and fluidity of thought.

We designed the visual identity and packaging system for JOYÀ — a new brand of plant-based functional foods that is rethinking our relationship to food and wellness.

From working the fields as a migrant to running one of the country's most influential restaurants, chef Eduardo ‘Lalo’ García continues to push and transform Mexican gastronomy by pure emotion. His first cookbook Maximo reveals his practice, relationships, and daily life at the restaurant. The book’s recipes and individual stories are a culmination of many forces, from the farmers in the chinampas of Xochimilco to the chefs in his kitchen, that inspire and drive Maximo Bistrot.

An acknowledged game-changer in the grocery business, family-owned Summerhill Market is renowned for the superlative quality of its prepared foods and unique products. A new identity was needed to reflect its progressive spirit while retaining the personable quality that had made the shop a cherished food destination. Along with the logo, we re-designed Summerhill’s entire packaging system, including developing several of its in-house product lines. A monogram honours the store’s heritage while the line “Your Other Kitchen” reinforces its role in customers' lives.

MUT (Mercado Urbano Tobalaba) is a multi-building project based in Santiago, Chile. This vast and visionary project is shifting the way we understand the city of Santiago by integrating greenspace, architecture, culture, workspace, and diverse retail based on values of community engagement and sustainability.

The identity honors its sense of place with a typography inspired by local iconography and colours taking their cues from the Chilean landscapes and textiles.

Renowned for their encyclopaedic knowledge of music of all genres and eras, The Playlist Company designs sonic experiences for some of Canada’s top hospitality brands. The identity has a deliberate musicality that mimics the journeys of their powerful, highly curated playlists. The logo itself has stanzas of movement, while blocks of colours inspired by jazz and soul album covers from the 40s and 50s are given subtle shifts in tonalities and hues to evoke music’s power to transform space and emotion. The digital experience builds an emotional narrative, reflective of the playlist co.'s auditory journey.

A blok and Lovechild (LA) initiative sets out to reframe our understanding of three megalopolises by exploring the intersection between our idealized images of these cities and their underlying personas, and how one makes possible the other. In this first project about Los Angeles, photographer Renato D’Agostin, unites with urban critic and author, Norman Klein. The dialogue between D’Agostin’s instinctual images and Klein’s critical essay challenges our preconceived ideas of what makes the city true to itself. In production: Origins, a podcast series that looks at how some of LA’s most significant but overlooked landmarks have influenced our perceptions.

ModRec is not just a purveyor of coffee beans from some of the world’s best small-batch roasters, but a singular portal into a world where realness, spontaneity and individualism reign supreme over artifice, pretense and mass culture. Beginning with the bold wordmark, the identity serves as a window into this unique philosophy of living. Photography mirrors the attitude of a brand that doesn’t tolerate BS, while language, colour and pattern unite to evoke the off-beat journey of discovery that awaits subscribers.

What World Strategies, which works with top social change organizations like the Gates Foundation and Oxfam, approached us to design a truly unique journal, one that would help people track the issues they support. From the name to the design of a comprehensive evaluation system, we set out to create a booklet that would help inspire more meaningful actions and foster a spirit of activism.

Based in Chile, Territoria shapes the built environment with an expansive vision: creating large scale real estate developments focused on bettering the quality of life of those who encounter them. Celebrating their grounded values and philosophy, the redesign of the firm’s brand identity flows witha subtle nuance of tonalities and clarity of vision.

The 2016 annual report is a love letter to cinema and an ode to one of the world’s most renowned and respected cinematic organizations. To capture the core of what makes TIFF so unique, we paired bold verbs with unexpected concepts, such as “catalyze / collectivity”, “inspire / time” and “shift dreams / reality”. This poetic tribute inspired the rest of the design, which eschews conventional format and embraces the beauty and language of film to create a cinematic experience that amplifies TIFF’s mission to transform how we see the world through film.
