elav published a article about touchpad problems in Debian. Well, it turns out that it works well for me as standard, the only thing is that the click is not active and in open box there is no wizard to configure it (that i know of).
Just edit the autostart and add the following line:
synclient TapButton1=1 &
I used the autostart file but I guess it can work with .xinitrc and others.
And that's it  just restart the session and see if it works on our hardware.
