It's a beautiful day! I wouldn't mind working in the summer and staying home in the winter. I am weird like that.
I walked across the street to get milk, bread, pop, chips, bananas, and ice cream. All the necessities.
I also made a complaint on eBay and PayPal over a SW coin we never got. The guy didn't contest it, he repaid us the $2.49. Nothing to have a fit over, but we still never got the coin. Luckily it worked out fine.
I am thrilled with Blockbuster Online! For $20 a month we get about 12 new movies a week and one free game a month. It's been awesome. When we are done with the three we get in the mail we take them to the store and exchange them for three more for free and still get three more in the mail so most of the time we have 6 movies at a time.
An Unfinished Life was wonderful. I have to tell my dad to buy it. Premonition was great, I want to see it again, but Cam already took it back. The Number 23 freaked the hell out of me and now I am looking everywhere for 23s. I even bought a PowerBall lotto ticket today with 23 on it. Disturbia was a great remake. It was funny trying to explain to Cam that it was the THIRD remake. Zodiac Jake and Robert were awesome! Another great story about the Zodiac killer. I Think I Love My Wife was funny, but Chris Rock can't do anything without the F word. And you know he totally would have screwed that chick. Are We Done Yet? I watched it three times. I'll probably buy it eventually. Pecker was a crazy John Waters movie Becky made me watch, but it was okay.
Cam found my wallet. It was way under the kitchen table in a box. I suspect he tossed it at my backpack and missed. But YAY! He's been kicking himself with guilt and looking for it all week.
We went to Old County Buffet on Monday with beckyjojmbobsue. Cam brought Steven. Fun!
Becky said American is now going to fly direct to NYC so we are planning to go again. We haven't been there since 1997. Easier to fly standby when we don't have to connect in Chicago.
Cam's Vader coin sold for $105! He's made $181.35 on eBay on the free crap from C4.
I have a meeting at work on Friday morning. I assume I will be there from 8:30 to 11:30. I still need to get my nature curriculum together, too. I should do that right now. Summer school starts Monday and I will be working the morning program AND the afterschool program.
My userpics are expiring. I do love my userpics, so I need to renew those and maybe give out some granny panties or something.
So at C4 Cameren lived in the collectors room. All day Sunday he never left. zedekk and I had to deliver food to him.
He got 7 of the 12 collectors coins they gave out at the panels. But he is selling one on eBay right now while it's still hot. One Vader coin just sold for $141 and another is currently going for $125.
Cam's is at $30 right now with free shipping, but it has 5 watchers who are planning to fight it out at the last minute when the bidding ends in 6 days.
One guy asked what we wanted for it right now, we told him $150. Cam said he did put "buy it now" on the coin, but it didn't show up. Another guy wanted to know if we'd ship to France. Sure, but we'd charge shipping.
Cam wrote the description himself, he does know how to sell. But it's so funny how he always capitalizes the letters of every word. He does that on MySpace, too. Goof.
Movies I have sitting here begging me to watch them...
Borrowed from my dad: Babel Blood Diamond The Holiday United 93 Happy Feet Over the Hedge Ice Age 2 Cinderella 3 Love Stinks Step Up S.W.A.T. Flight Plan (saw before) The first three Lethal Weapons (saw a zillion times before)
From Blockbuster: Pursuit of Happyness (saw last weekend) Children of Men The Inconvenient Truth
Bought on eBay: Finding Neverland The Village Chasing Amy (seen before) Mr. & Mrs. Smith (seen before) The Break-up Are We There Yet? Freddy Got Fingered Dodgeball
Between Cam and I we spent $27.48 on eBay tonight.
At the same time I was watching the countdown to winning Chasing Amy, he was battling it out for the last two pins in his Muppets collection, Fozzie and Miss Piggy. We both came out winners with 6 things total.
That bad eBayer finally fixed their paypal and hopefully sent the 4 DVDs.
This week Cam also got his free pins from Disney Rewards in the mail. He used all the codes from the Disney movies we and other family members have bought, to get them.
Cam spent $36 on Disney pins on eBay in the last week. He's been obsessed with them since we went to Disney World in October.
He wants to go to Disneyland just for the pins. I told him no, C4 will be almost like Disneyland, only Star Warsy. He will love the Vendors there. He can get more SW pins. He has quite a few of those too, because he keeps stealing mine!
The last two DVDs I won on eBay I paid for on January 4th and I got them exactly 4 weeks later. I bitched at her quite a few times and she kept saying she would send them. That, and the fact that the last five people I bought from did not give me ANY feedback, has taken all the fun out of eBay.
But this damn boredom got the best of me tonight and I bought two DVDs for a total of $9.50 with shipping. Finding Neverland and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I had to call Cam and ask him if he had Goblet yet. He said no, but he has the first three, so I got it. I usually get two DVDs from the same seller because shipping on the second one is basically free. And I really wanted Finding Neverland.
I also want Life as a House, but I can't find a decent, cheap copy of it there.
YAY, I got four of my seven packages from eBay people today.
Four DVDs: V for Vendetta KoRn - Live on the Other Side American Pie (Only because it was $1.88) The Village ($1.99 because it was spelled wrong. Bill was right when he said you could find deals on things that were spelled wrong.)
...and an Unleashed Palpatine vs Yoda in a pear tree.
Suck me eBay. I haven't been able to log in for two hours so I lost a lot of the things I had bid on. Could have got them for damn cheap, too, with combined shipping.
I did win my Amanaman and a holographic Yoda after a big battle this morning! But lost the ESB Chewie with a mynock and the Jimmy Smitts... I mean Bail Organa. It pisses me off losing something in the last 10 seconds.
I am hooked. I want toys! I am bidding on another Boga and unless I am willing to pay $30, I am never going to get one. I want a Taun Taun, I have bid on four and lost them all! I want a Mara Jade!
On the bright side, I do have tons of the toys people are selling on eBay which are going for a fortune. There are only a few I want that I don't have.
Oh, and I want the band from Jabba's Palace. I have been bidding on separate figures for up to $6 a piece, but someone is selling almost a whole set together now and I am high bidder at $20. I am willing to pay up to $35. Maybe. My X-mas present to me.
The prick I bought the 4LOM from would only send it to the address on my PayPal. Of course he tells me this after he's already mailed it so I can't change my address there first. It's coming to my house, so hopefully it fits in the mailbox. If it doesn't and they just leave it out there it will get stolen. Everything does. Oh well, it was only $3.98.
DVDs - Jurassic Park III, Panic Room, and Gangs of New York from girlpirate.
And a 4LOM action figure! Cam's current obsession. In case you are wondering what a 4LOM is, it's a droid, one of the Bounty Hunters Vader sends after Han in The Empire Strikes Back. 4LOM stands for "For Love of Money" which also describes my son to a tee.
Something that used to drive me nuts on LJ is when people talked about their friends non stop and never talked about themselves. So I tried not to do that...
Its been a really long time since I was active on LiveJournal, but I use to make graphics and I recognize your username. I saw that you are still active. I was wondering if you'd like to be friends?…
A big victory in what will be a bumpy ride. But we've got to celebrate the victories when we've got them! I'm buying an ACLU sweatshirt and making cake for the kids. :)
