a fast, modern browser for the npm registry

npmx is a better UX/DX for the npm package registry and tooling. We provide a fast, modern interface for exploring packages, with features like dark mode, keyboard navigation, code browsing, and connections to alternative registries like JSR.

We also aim to provide a better admin UI for managing your packages, teams, and organizations β€” all from the browser, powered by your local npm CLI.

Guess I have to post this here as well, but it's true so 🀷

this is pretty cool.

apparently
@npmx.dev was the #7 fastest-growing open-source project in 2026 so far (or #2 of the non-AI-focused projects!)

πŸ‘‰ you can see our profile here:

pnpm v11.0.0 is released!

The "latest" dist-tag still points to v10, so install it via "pnpm self-update latest-11"

we launched a new @e18e.dev mini-site today!

replacements.fyi acts as a super simple frontend to the module replacements data. we noticed the data wasn't very discoverable, so this is a focused tool for when you want to quicky look up if something has alternatives (esp. native ones!)
i noticed in @npmx.dev we have a lot of warning-level notices but few "success" notices so far - so i've added a celebration message for when a package gets smaller! (coming in the next release) πŸŽ‰
A success message reading "Package size decreased since v26.0.6" and "Install size reduced by 40% (328.5 kB smaller)".
Two features I have worked on recently landed in @npmx.dev

1) npmx-likes badge (
npmx.dev/api/registry...) (#2478)
2) GitHub Stars & Issues + package creation date on the
npmx.dev/compare page (#2479)

You can just get things done in open source ⚑
@npmx.dev is 3 months old! It feels both yesterday and an eternity ago. Time is strange when we have fun, and the landscape around us changes every day. Pieces are falling into place for npmx's next iteration. It's a great time to get involved if you're looking for a good open source adventure ✌️

I'm asking because I'm building an alternative to npmjs.com, including the admin ui piece

I have a working mvp, although of course it's very 🚧

if this is something you'd like to contribute to, and you've experienced any of these pain points, let me know - always more fun to build together! πŸ™
My favorite thing about @npmx.dev is it becomes obvious when my packages are following modern practices.
Npmx with types, ESM, CJS, MIT License, 0 deps, small install size, 0 vulnerabilities, and recent updates.
We need an @npmx.dev for lexicons. Is that a thing yet?
me and @alexdln.com designed some stickers for npmx.dev πŸ‘€
And not just stickers, but also an incredible emoji pack πŸ₯Ή

We got a lot of feedback on the previous iteration, which, despite our best attempts, felt too opinionated.

So, we just decided to let you create your own graphs. Problem solved *and* many new possibilities unlocked. Win-win.

Thanks for constantly indulging my nerd-snipes

On ./npmx you can now compare up to 10 packages and visualise them with a scatter chart, mapping any facet to each axis to help making informed decisions in a flash.

πŸ™ Thank you so much @antfu.me for sponsoring me for my work on Vue Data UI and ./npmx !

I'm now able to redistribute a part of it to

nice graph ☺️

An ATProto better-auth provider. So you can easily add bluesky auth in addition to other auth providers with better-auth
Nick The Sick @nickthesick.com
Who is going to make bsky as a better-auth provider?
this is a @baileytownsend.dev appreciation post:

I love the vibe/energy you bring to the room, you chose important projects that connect protocol theory to real users, and provide a whole lot of tech and social glue.

thank you!
npmx really is nice. i'm late to the game but i've just been playing around with it whilst reading the atproto oauth client node page lol npmx.dev/package/@atp...
Moving between PDSs is cheap! The answer is odd months in @eurosky.social, even months in npmx.social 😘
