He was out having fun, came home laid into his bed and died that night in his sleep. I read before about the homophobic atmosphere in which the relationship of Jack and Ianto  was portrayed in COE but I couldn't believe it. <br \/>That was til I saw it myself. What way and with the death of Ianto Jones Torchwood is dead for me as well.<br \/> <br \/>So I started to look around and at the wonderful savecoffeboy community (<a target='_blank' href='http:\/\/community.livejournal.com\/savecoffeeboy'>http:\/\/community.livejournal.com\/savecoffeeboy<\/a>) I found some amazing people and a great resource for Interviews with the cast. <br \/>You need to understand that in order to realize my shock over John Barrowmans pod cast in which he talks like RTD about 6 women who send coffee. <br \/>Hey there are more than 6 of us. <br \/>He also seems to think as long as Jack becomes another playmate for sex everything is going to be ok. for the fans. <br \/>How the mighty have fallen. <br \/>I did admired him greatly but after that pod cast were is little to none affection for him left. <br \/>The campaign has raised over 7.000 Great Britain Pound for Children in Need so far and is aiming to reach 10.000 GBP. <br \/>If nothing else at least that deserves respect. But no, TPTB try to laugh at these fans and now it seems to me that Mr. Barrowman has decided to do the same. <br \/>But there is one problem. If you don't respect your fans you might end up without any at all. <br \/>It's sad that Torchwood isn't the only serie I liked in the past that has been destroyed by TPTB. The same happened to Primevil and seems to happen in the new season of NCIS, at least if the rumors are true. <br \/>Whenever a fan base found a nice couple of interesting male leading characters ( no, not only cute ) one of these is either going to die or getting forced into a relationship with another female character. <br \/>Or both if I read the signs regarding Torchwoods future right. <br \/>But without me. What is it with producers that brings them to make such stupid decisions To make the thing perfect has the producer of Torchwood began to bash the fans who questions his decisions. Definitely not a wise decision. The characters are totally ooc and didn't touched me at all. The whole time I keep thinking wrong fandom. Animals on an ice planet chasing a character, a robot who has a word with the young kirk ( reminds me of cp3o) and a squeaking alien as a friend of Scotty. Does this reminds you of another fandom? For me it did. The whole film through I keep thinking that is Wars not Trek. An overly emotional Spock who seeks revenge for the death of his mother and the destruction of vulcan. A Bones who doesn't has any chemistry with Kirk or Spock. A crew which didn't interested me at all. No ironic banter between the main characters, just a few insider gags, which were too short and too few. Now with the economy down there is not much hope for me to find another school. So for the last week I started looking for alternatives. After all I have a university exam in economics and I have been teaching economics and social issues the last 7 years. So guess what. Due to the fact that I have been teaching for so long I'm considered to be useless to a \"normal company\". So I adjusted my goals and was looking for a middle position in accounting. No Ted jokes please. They don't want me due to the fact that I'm overqualified for this position due to my exam. Trash and reality shows or casting shows and bad sentimental christmas movies.But late at night after midnight were are some treasures to be found.<br \/>Old black and white movies with female characters that are more modern then in a lot of nowadays movies. Especially Bette Davies and Katherine Hepburn were fantastic. Now I'm thinking if anyone of the so called stars from today are going to have a lasting impression like that goddesses and my answer is NO. First of all they are to beautiful, there are no edges. Second botox, look at the male and female actors over the age of 25, most probably they have smooth faces which can not show a single emotion due to the botox injections they have received. And finally the books there are few films in the last years that are not an offense to an intelligent audience. I used to go to the movies once or twice a month but over the last two years that has become incredible difficulty although I'm lucky to live in a town with not one but two art house cinemas. Still there are only a few movies a year that a worth watching. So what is this observation saying about me. That I'm an old women (at the age of 38 years) complaining that in the past everything was better? I don't know, but it's my opinion that some things were better before the almighty american beauty cult expanded all over the world. There we try to educate people to be safe.<br \/>Although Germany was very lucky in the past regarding the subject of HIV and AIDS that is beginning to change. Out of the approximately 82 Million german are about 65.000 people infected or ill, but while the annual increase was down to under 1000 new infections only four years ago we are now at almost 3000 last year. Especially young gay men don't protect themselves and we don't find the right approach to change that. When I was about 9 years old I saw Butch Cassidy and    Sundance Kid and was hooked. At the age of 14 I saw Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. There were only a few actors that could captured the attention of the viewer like Paul Newman. I think that nowadays the dictate of plastic surgery prevent them to reach their full potential. Does anybody else remember  the old giants like Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, Bette Davies or Joan Crawford. They didn't look especially hot , but they could convince you that they were the hottest thing on the planet.<br \/>Today we have lost one of the last of them and I believe that none of the so called stars of now is going to have a similar impact in movie history.
