Authorization of Zoho Sheet Integration

To set up the Zoho Sheet integration in Bit Form, simply go to the Bit Form plugin and open up the form you want to work on. Then, head to the form settings and look for the integrations section. Click on the plus icon to add a new integration, and search for Zoho Sheet from the available options.

Integration Name/Title: Here give the meaningful integration title as per your requirement.

Data Center: Choose a data center from the drop-down list.

To get your Zoho Sheet Client ID and Client Secret, follow these steps:

  • Access Zoho Developer Console: Go to “Zoho Developer Console“.
  • Add Client: Click on “Add Client” and choose “Server-Based Application” as the client type.
  • Name your Application: Provide a descriptive name for your application.
  • Gather Integration Details:
    • Go to your integration’s settings page (separate platform).
    • Copy the Homepage URL from the integration settings.
  • Paste Homepage URL: In the Zoho API Console, locate the “Homepage URL” field and paste the copied URL.
  • Gather Authorized Redirect URIs:
    • Still on your integration’s settings page, copy the Authorized Redirect URIs.
  • Paste Authorized Redirect URIs: In the Zoho API Console, find the “Authorized Redirect URIs” field and paste the copied URIs.
  • Create Client: Click the “Create” button to finalize the process.
  • Copy Client Credentials: The Zoho API Console will display your “Client ID” and “Client Secret“.
  • Integrate Credentials: Copy and paste these credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) into the designated fields on your integration platform.

Once you have successfully entered your Zoho Sheet Client ID and Client Secret, click “Authorize” to proceed. Once you have successfully authorized your account then click on “Next“.

Select workbook: Choose your workbook from the drop-down list.

Select worksheet: Choose your worksheet from the drop-down list.

Select Header Row: Choose the row that will contain your column headers.

In the integration settings, you will see a “Map Fields” option. This is where you will need to map the fields from your form to the corresponding fields in Zoho Sheet.

Here’s Workbook means spreadsheets, Worksheet means sheet name and Header Row means the first row of the Zoho Sheet.

By default, the first row of the worksheet is considered a header row. This can be used if tabular data starts from any row other than the first row.

Must have at least one record in your Zoho Sheet spreadsheets otherwise Map Fields will not appear.

Actions

Update Row: Select this action to update Zoho Sheet records based on criteria.

The criteria should be in the following format.

(=, !=, >, <,>=,<=, contains)

Consider the following table :

Example criteria :

  1. “Name”=”Shakhawat”
  2. “Name” contains “Arif”
  3. “Name”=”Rubel” and “Age”<18
  4. (“Name”=”Rubel” or “Name”=”Arif”) and “Age”<18

A maximum of 5 nested criteria can be used.

In the above example, If “Age” is less than 18 and “Name” is equal to “Rubel” then the Category will be “Teenager“.

Update preference:

update row for the first match only?

If you select Yes, the criteria will work for the first match only or if you select No the criteria will work for all the matches. Follow the example below:

Insert a new row if the above criteria don’t meet.

If you select Yes, insert a new row if the criteria don’t meet.

Map all the fields, select the necessary Actions to be performed on integration, and then click on the Save button to save your settings.

Share Workbook: Share workbook with users pushed to Zoho Sheet.

Integration Save

Once you have configured the desired settings for the integration, click the Save & Finish button to save the integration.

Configuring the conditional logic

Now, let’s set up some conditional logic to trigger the integration for the submitted data. To do this, head over to the conditional logic section. You have the option to create a new conditional logic or use an existing one. Make sure to set the Action behavior to “Always” and check the Integration under Additional Actions. Then, select your desired Integration, in this case, “Zoho Sheet API“. Once done, just click on Update.

Integration Log

Every integration has a timeline that you can use to check the success or error status of the integration. To see your response, just head over to the Response section in Bit Form, click on your record, and then scroll down. Below your Timeline, click on Show Integration Logs.
