Resumo: O presente artigo tem como proposta aproximar o daoísmo, tradição filosófica e religiosa ... more Resumo: O presente artigo tem como proposta aproximar o daoísmo, tradição filosófica e religiosa chinesa que data de mais de dois mil anos, ao anarquismo. Para se atingir este fim, em um primeiro momento, será feita uma análise comparativa de conceitos base presentes nos dois sistemas de pensamento, onde procurar-se-á demonstrar algumas ideias e atitudes que são compartilhadas, em maior ou menor grau, por ambos. Em seguida, trechos dos dois livros clássicos do daoísmo serão utilizados, nomeadamente o 道德經 Dào Dé Jīng de 老子 Lǎozǐ e o 南華經 Nán Huá Jīng de 莊子 Zhuāngzǐ, para apontar e exemplificar estes conceitos em comum, partindo do pre-suposto de que os pensamentos anarquistas foram construídos ao longo da história, tendo surgido muito antes do estabelecimento do anarquismo como movimento político-social, no final do séc. XIX.

Abstract: This article proposes to bring Daoism, a Chinese philosophical and religious tradition that dates back more than two thousand years, to anarchism. To achieve this end, at first, a comparative analysis of the basic concepts present in the two systems of thought will be carried out, where some ideas and attitudes will be demonstrated that are shared, to a greater or lesser degree, by both. Then, excerpts from the two classic books of Daoism will be used, namely the 道德經 Dào Dé Jīng by 老子 Lǎozǐ and the 南華經 Nán Huá Jīng by 莊子 Zhuāngzǐ, to point out and exemplify these common concepts, starting from the assumption that Anarchist thoughts were built throughout history, having emerged long before the establishment of anarchism as a socio-political movement, at the end of the 19th century.

This essay aims to analyze the poem “Chuang-tzú e a morte de sua mulher” by the author Manuel da ... more This essay aims to analyze the poem “Chuang-tzú e a morte de sua mulher” by the author Manuel da Silva Mendes, based on the book of the Chinese philosopher 莊子 Zhuāngzǐ. Considered the first Portuguese to study and disseminate the Chinese Taoist tradition in Macao, Silva Mendes dedicated a large part of his written work to disseminate the Chinese philosophy and culture to the Portuguese-speaking public in the region. To this end, the author wrote poetic versions in Portuguese language of some excerpts from the classic books of the Chinese Taoist tradition 道德經 Dào Dé Jīng by 老子 Lǎozǐ, and 南華經 Nán Huá Jīng by 莊子 Zhuāngzǐ with a didactic proposal for interpretive facilitation at the expense of hermeticism present in the original texts and current translations of that time. The objective of this essay is, through the analysis of one of these poems, to demonstrate, from the concept of cultural translation, how this interpretive facilitation takes place, showing the means used by the author to achieve this proposal. For the purpose of analyzing the aforementioned poem, a comparison will be made with the classical Chinese original and with the English translation of the Scottish sinologist James Legge.
Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a obra Excerptos de Filosofia Taoista do autor Manuel da... more Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a obra Excerptos de Filosofia Taoista do autor Manuel da Silva Mendes, considerado o primeiro portugues a estudar e divulgar a tradicao taoista chinesa, e atraves da analise do poema: “Chuang Tze e o rei de Chu”, demonstrar que este se trata de uma adaptacao de um trecho do livro classico do pensamento chines Nan Hua Jīng (南華經), de Zhuāngzǐ (莊子), e para se atingir este fim, sera feita uma analise comparativa com o original em chines classico e com a traducao para o ingles do sinologo escoces James Legge.
Esta dissertação tem como objetivo apresentar a obra Excerptos de Filosofia Taoista do autor Manu... more Esta dissertação tem como objetivo apresentar a obra Excerptos de Filosofia Taoista do autor Manuel da Silva Mendes, considerado o primeiro português a estudar e divulgar a tradição taoísta chinesa em Macau. Baseado nos conceitos de que tradução é uma recriação ou reinvenção, apresentados por Haroldo de Campos em sua obra Da transcriação poética e semiótica da operação tradutora, 2011, procurar-se-á analisar quatro poemas da obra em questão a fim de demonstrar que estes tratam-se de adaptações dos trechos dos livros clássicos do pensamento chinês 道德經 Dào Dé Jīng de 老子 Lǎozǐ, e 南華經 Nán Huá Jīng de 莊子 Zhuāngzǐ. Para se atingir este fim, será feita uma análise comparativa com os originais em chinês clássico e com as traduções para o inglês do sinólogo escocês James Legge, tradutor com o qual Silva Mendes dialoga. A análise também servirá para mostrar as semelhanças e diferenças entre as versões poéticas do autor português e as originais, em sua grande parte escrita em prosa.
