🐾WHAT THE FLUFF – A BBHQ Q&A Series🐾

Supurr Monday greetings, epic furiends!

Today we’re back with episode 2 from deep inside the BBHQ think‑tank, and trust us, this one’s been simmering in the creative cauldron for a while.

Click to read episode one, if mew missed it.

Welcome to WHAT THE FLUFF, the fluffiest, quirkiest, most revealing Q&A series ever unleashed from The B Team since the Podcast. Each memfur sits down for a no‑holds‑barred interrogation … err… sorry interview with Vera V5.0, the BBHQ Bunker A.I., answering the questions mew didn’t know mew needed answers to.

From snack stash secrets to interdimensional dilemmas, from floof maintenance routines to heroic regrets, this series dives deep into the minds (and whiskers) of our legendary memfurs.

💬 Expect:

🙀 Outrageous confessions

🛡️ Tactical brilliance

🧠 Floofy wisdom

💥Possibly a few hairballs

In today’s feature: Pandora, the ethereal magi of the B Team, mistress of calm in the chaos, and undisputed queen of bunker ambience. What keeps her centred in the middle of BBHQ mayhem? What’s her favourite part of bunker life? And which memfur tests her patience the most during morning operations?

Keep reading for Pandora’s full Q&A, and prepare to say “Oh fluff!” at least once! MOL

Interview No. 2 - Ethereal Magi, Bunker Operations Specialist, Mistress of Velvet Aesthetics (allegedly)

Vera V5.0: Pandora, welcome to Episode 2 of WHAT THE FLUFF. Are mew prepared for your Q&A session?

Pandora: I’ve been prepared since 04:12 this morning. I like to be early. Unlike certain memfurs, not mentioning any names... Fudge.

Q1: Pandora, how would mew describe your role at BBHQ?

Pandora: I’m the stabiliser. The calm in the chaos. The one who keeps the bunker’s energy balanced and stops the boys from blowing something up before breakfast. I also handle environmental controls, lighting, airflow, and ambience. It’s a full‑time job, and thank cod I can use my wand to magically assist.

Q2: What’s your favourite part of bunker life?

Pandora: The quiet hours. When the corridors are dim, the low hum of the generators is steady, and nopawdy is arguing about snacks or hover‑cart parking, or where the mouse driod derby is happening next. That’s when BBHQ feels… harmonious.

Q3: What’s the most annoying part of bunker life?

Pandora: The alarms. All of them. We have far too many. Motion alarms, breach alarms, snack‑cupboard alarms… and Smooch sets off at least one a day. Sometimes by breathing too close to the sensors. He says he's testing parameters, he's not! MOL

Q4: What’s your biggest pet peeve about the other memfurs?

Pandora: Sometimes they leave things everywhere. Tools. Half‑finished gadgets. Empty treat packets. And Fudge once left an entire tactical harness in the shower. I still don’t know why.

Q5: What’s your favourite spot in the bunker?

Pandora: The Observation Deck. It’s quiet, the lighting is perfect, I can stargaze and write my Monthly Meow'o'Scopes, and the view of the forest is ridiculously calming. Also, no one else goes up there because the stairs are “too many.” Honestly.

Q6: What’s one thing mew wish every cat understood about mew?

Pandora: That I’m not aloof, I’m just thinking. Constantly. About everything. The bunker layout. The energy flow. Whether Basil remembered to lock the armoury. Whether Melvyn is about to test a 'Humphrey Special' prototype without supervision. It’s exhausting.

Q7: What’s your funniest bunker moment?

Pandora: When Melvyn tried to fix the ventilation system and accidentally reversed the airflow. Every loose item in the corridor got sucked into the intake chute. Including Smooch’s favourite bandana. He mourned it for days.

Q8: What’s your least favourite bunker chore?

Pandora: Resetting the holo‑projectors after Fudge “tests” them. He insists he’s helping. He is not helping.

Q9: What’s your proudest moment as part of the B Team?

Pandora: During the Nexus Spiral mission, Basil trusted me to monitor the bunker’s dimensional stability from the control room. It required precision, calm, and absolute focus.

It was epic, nerve-wracking and essential to the team’s success.

Q10: What’s your message to BBHQ readers?

Pandora: Find your calm. Honour your space. And if mew ever visit BBHQ, please wipe your paws before entering. I just cleaned the floors

We hope mew enjoyed today's feature brought to mew courtesy of Vera, the bunker A.I., yep, it was her idea, to interrogate, sorry, ask us these questions! MOL

✨ This Week’s Intro ~ 100% Stability, 0% Drama, 0% Nonsense (Allegedly) ✨

Hello, my gorgeous library guests

and

Welcome back to the Mewton‑Clawson Library at BBHQ.

I am delighted to report that the library has now settled into a steady, serene, and suspiciously well‑behaved rhythm. Yes, my dahlings, for the first time in weeks, everything is calm. Thank goodness.

Almost too calm, if mew ask Melvyn.

The shelves are aligned.

The books are quiet.

The mice are conducting themselves with professional dignity.

Even the encyclopaedias are humming in a major key.

It’s all very soothing.

📚 A Peaceful Morning at BBHQ

Me: “Melvyn, sweetie, isn’t it lovely? No flickers, no anomalies, no runaway stationery.”

Melvyn: “Amber… nothing has moved in twenty‑four hours.”

Me: “Yes. Bliss.”

Melvyn: “Even the thesaurus hasn’t muttered.”

Me: “It’s in reflective mode.”

Melvyn: “Amber, it’s alphabetising its own emotions.”

Me: “That’s growth.”

Melvyn: “I don’t trust it.”

Me: “Sweetie, mew don’t trust the stapler.”

Melvyn: “The stapler bit me once.”

Me: “It was a misunderstanding.”

Melvyn: “Amber, everything is too quiet.”

Me: “It’s called stability.”

Melvyn: “It feels like the calm before the storm.”

Me: “Or the calm before the nap.”

Melvyn: “Are mew napping?”

Me: “Yes. Then, following up with a soothing, restorative meditation.”

📚 General Library Status Update

No time pockets detected

  No books attempting interpretive dance

  No mice wearing PPE

  No dictionaries staging interventions

  No atlases arguing about longitude

No thesaurus incidents (it is journaling quietly on Level Six in the Library Archive)

In short:

The library is behaving itself.

And honestly? I’m enjoying every second.

So, my wonderful library guests, if mew notice the gentle hum of contented bookshelves and the soft patter of well‑organised mice, rest assured, this is the correct version of the library.

Probably.

Now, let’s begin this week’s travelogue before Melvyn convinces himself that “too quiet” is a category of emergency and Oswald starts drafting a cheese‑related contingency plan.

Amber, a regal orange tabby cat, sits proudly before the towering pylons of the Temple of Horus at Edfu. She wears a sun‑gold linen wrap cinched with a belt of turquoise and carnelian. Around her neck shimmers a falcon‑feathered collar in iridescent blues, and atop her head rests a golden circlet shaped like Horus’s wings, with a sun disk nestled between. Behind her, the temple walls are carved with hieroglyphs and divine scenes, including a granite statue of the falcon‑headed god Horus. The warm Egyptian sunlight bathes the scene, casting a golden glow over Amber’s fur and the temple’s sandstone façade.

🌞 Amber’s Egyptian Adventure #15: Falcon Feathers & Pylon Power at Edfu 🐾

(Where Horus Watches, and the Columns Whisper)

Location: Temple of Horus at Edfu - one of Egypt’s most complete and majestic temples, dedicated to the falcon‑headed god Horus, with towering pylons, granite falcons, and a sanctuary steeped in divine drama.

Time: Mid‑morning, when the sunlight strikes the pylons just so, casting long shadows across the courtyard like ancient wings

Dahlings, this week I found myself strutting through one of Egypt’s most glorious sanctuaries: the Temple of Horus at Edfu. And let me tell mew, if mew’ve ever wanted to be stared down by a granite falcon while wearing gold eyeliner, this is the place.

The entrance alone is a moment: two colossal pylons, carved with scenes of Ptolemaic kings smiting their enemies (very theatrical), flanked by giant statues of Horus in polished black granite. I paused between them, tail high, and whispered:

“Amber mew have arrived. Let the gods take note.”

I wore a sun‑gold linen wrap, cinched with a belt of turquoise and carnelian, and a falcon‑feathered collar that shimmered with iridescent blues. My headdress? A golden circlet shaped like Horus’s wings, with a majestic sun disk nestled between. Regal, radiant, and ready to shine with the gods.

Inside, the temple unfolded like a dream; columned courtyards, hypostyle halls, and a sanctuary so sacred it practically purred. The walls told stories. Horus battling Seth, Horus sailing in his sacred barque, Horus receiving offerings from kings who clearly needed fashion advice.

I sipped a Sacred Falcon Spritz, a chilled blend of hibiscus, citrus, and a hint of fig, served in a glass etched with tiny wings and a splash of catnip, of course. It was tart, divine, and just dramatic enough to match the temple’s energy.

As I padded through the halls, I imagined myself as Horus’s personal librarian, cataloguing divine feathers, annotating mythological battles, and occasionally correcting the hieroglyphs with a pawprint of distinction.

My Falcon‑Approved Essentials Included:

🦅 A Sacred Falcon Spritz, tart and radiant, with a citrus‑fig twist and a dash of catnip essence

📜 A scroll of Horus’s victories, annotated with “Amber would’ve handled this more gracefully”

👑 A winged circlet, because subtlety is for mortals

🐾 A sun‑gold wrap, purrfect for dramatic poses between pylons

Mood: Majestic, mythic, and mildly judgmental (especially toward poorly dressed deities)

Quote of the Day: “Some temples honour gods… others simply provide the purrfect runway.”

A stylized illustration of two black cats sitting back-to-back, facing opposite directions. Each cat is adorned with gold accents on the ears and eyes, red and gold collars, and gold hoop earrings, evoking the aesthetic of ancient Egyptian art. Their symmetrical pose and regal detailing suggest inspiration from Bastet, the Egyptian goddess of protection and home. The image blends cultural symbolism with elegant feline design.

✨ Next week, we’re going underground again, but this time, it’s all about crocodiles, dual temples, and Nile views. Think symmetrical sanctuaries, sacred reptiles, and cocktails with bite.

Two views of The Mewton-Clawson Library showcase expansive white bookshelves filled with a vibrant mix of books. The top image features colorful spines, decorative items, and a cozy chair with a cat in the aisle, creating a warm, personal atmosphere. The bottom image highlights a section of classic and antique-looking books with darker bindings, adding a touch of literary elegance. A second chair reinforces the inviting charm of this well-organized personal library. Text reads “Part of The Mewton-Clawson Library ©BionicBasil®.”

A cartoon-style illustration titled “Friendly Fill-Ins” shows two animated cats sitting on a grassy field dotted with flowers. The orange cat on the left wears a red collar and winks playfully, while the black cat on the right sports a blue collar and wide-open eyes. A butterfly flutters above them, and the background features green hills under a blue sky. The image is framed with a brown border and includes the text: “Friendly Fill-Ins Hosted by Four-Legged Furballs & 15andmeowing.”
1. My zodiac sign is __________________.
2. My Chinese zodiac animal sign is _____________________.
3. For me, _________ brings back memories of _________.
4. _________ is the only thing keeping me from _________.

The P.A.'s answers are...

1. My zodiac sign is Aquarius, and if you like horoscopes, check out Pandora's Monthly Mewo'o'Scope here for february here.

2. My Chinese zodiac animal sign is sometimes a Rooster and sometimes a Monkey, depending on how they divide the birth year. So perhaps I'm a feathery monkey or a furry long-tailed rooster! LOL LOL

3. For me, seeing Basil's toys, yes, I saved them all, even an empty treat packet (his very last one that I kept on my desk for when he was helping me write), brings back memories of my epically epic little dude, sometimes sad ones, and sometimes hilarious ones.

4. The B Team is the only thing keeping me from a vacation with my hubby. We refuse to put the furbabies in a cattery, so vacations are not on the programme at this point in our lives. My mum used to come and stay, but it's too much for her now.

📚 This Week’s Paw‑Approved Top Pick: Paka Mdogo ~ Little Cat

Review #350 ~ A Mewton‑Clawson Library Milestone! WOOO HOOOO!

Dahlings, gather close and fluff your whiskers, because today is a very special day in the Mewton‑Clawson Library. Yes, mew read that correctly, this is my 350th cat‑themed book review, and naturally, I chose something purrfectly fitting: a tale of courage, curiosity, and one very determined little feline.

Allow me to present…

Paka Mdogo ~ Little Cat, the first in the Paka Mdogo series, is an adventurous, heart‑warming story set under the vast African sky, where danger prowls, friendships bloom, and a small cat discovers just how big her spirit truly is.

This is book one in a series of four.

And honestly, dahlings? It’s utterly furbulous.

✨ What’s the Vibe?

Think:
 A safari‑flavoured coming‑of‑age tale
 A sprinkle of wildlife wisdom
 A dash of danger
A whole lot of feline heart

It’s the kind of story that makes mew want to sit on a warm rock, swish your tail thoughtfully, and contemplate your place in the great circle of life, preferably while being admired by passing meerkats.

🐾 What’s the Story?

Our heroine, Sheena, is a young housecat who finds herself unexpectedly separated from her humans and thrust into the wilds of East Africa. Suddenly, she must navigate:

🦁 lions with opinions
🦓 zebras with attitude
🐦 birds who think they know everything
🐍 snakes who definitely know too much

Along the way, Sheena learns:

how to survive
 how to trust
how to listen
and how to be brave, even when her paws are shaking

It’s a journey of self‑discovery wrapped in whiskers and wildlife, and I adored every moment.

⚔️ What I Loved

😺 Sheena: A small cat with a huge heart. Curious, clever, and determined, she’s the kind of feline protagonist who makes me want to sharpen my claws and go on an adventure of my own (but indoors, obviously, as in the UK, it's too rainy for outdoors right now).

🌍 The Setting: The African landscape is described so vividly that I could practically feel the sun on my fur. The wildlife encounters are educational without ever feeling like homework, a rare and delightful balance.

🧭 The Themes: Courage, friendship, identity, and the importance of listening to your instincts. All very relevant to both cats and humans.

📚 The Educational Bits: Subtle, engaging, and woven seamlessly into the story. Even Melvyn learned something, though he insists he already knew everything about zebras.

📖 Final Thoughts

This is a charming, thoughtful, and meautifully paced adventure that will appeal to young readers, cat lovers, and anypawdy who enjoys a story where the smallest character has the biggest impact. It’s gentle yet exciting, warm yet tense, and full of heart.

For my 350th review, I couldn’t have read a more fitting book.

Sheena may be “Little Cat,” but her story is mighty.

🪄 Summed Up in One Sentence

I really hope mew enjoy the book as much as I did if mew decide to read it.

It's time for me to say BFN or bye-for-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time, and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't forget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.

Until next time...
