Kyoudai Ken Bycrosser: Episodes 19-22

Whoops.

Yeah, sorry about not releasing anything for like a month, I’ve been a little busy lately.

So why don’t I make up for lost time with a quadruple-feature!

Episode 19 is… admittedly pretty lame. It gets really dumb with gender at the end (as this show tends to), and it’s not Takaku’s finest writing for this show.

Episode 20 brings in another writer by the name of Sato Shigeru. Honestly, I can’t find anything about this guy. There’s someone with the same name who’s a councilman in Kitakyushu, but I highly doubt that he wrote TV shows in the 80’s. It also features a very Ishinomori-looking monster, whose head looks like a robotic hand grasping a camera.

Episode 21 shows us that where Sugimura can write a really good dramatic episode, he can also do a really strange one too. It also relies on knowing a Japanese myth, so it may be a bit confusing. We also say goodbye to Kameyama Hiroki (the large kid) and bring in Hagiuda Hoshimichi (a different large kid).

Episode 22 is another really good episode, in a similar vein to #10, but not quite as good as #7. Also timely, since it mentions that our main characters are still students, and bringing up exams since this episode aired in June! And we also get a surprise voice actor who is elaborated on in the episode’s trivia!

Also, special thanks to Mike Dent on Twitter for getting the word out, and also Alex of My Shiny Toy Robots for his excellent Tokusatsu article featuring Bycrosser!

Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion: “Change! Shinkalion” PV

Change-Release.png

So this kind of came out of nowhere. I literally found out about this when the Shinkalion Twitter put it up this morning.

Anyway, the footage in here is nothing new, but the song is pretty great! It really makes me wish there was a Shinkalion anime series, considering that the show has character designs for the pilots of E5, E6, and E7. This video also came in the wake of the release of Shinkalion E3 Tsubasa Flare Wing and Iron Wing, as well as the reveals of the Shinkalion 700 Series figures, which combine together! But all of this stuff makes me want BETTER TOYS of these robot designs, which, need I remind you, are HOT FREAKING FIRE.

Uhh… Ignore that rant, and download the PV at the Releases Page!
