I told them all how great it was to meet them. Hal picked my Aussie accent then put on one of his own. Always the comedian and his accent was good too. I started dredging up all the Aussie slang I could think of to fire back at him. Sharon told me about her best friend, Judy who had passed away a few years earlier. She said their mothers were friends and they put them in the same crib together when they were born. She said I fell in love with her straight away and we were best friends all our lives. Sadly she has gone to a better place. I said I hoped so. She was so friendly. I told Randy that I'd been to Paris recently too and he wrote on mine 'Enjoy your travels'.  As usual I was tongue tied around him but I vowed I get a pic with him smiling and I did. The second time I got their autographs because I lost the bag they were in Peter wrote 'Find that bag!' They were all suitably sympathetic that I'd lost my bag.

When we were at Vanity I called Harris over from the VIP area and had a quick chat to him. I introduced myself and asked him about his plans. He was very sweet and told me he was concentrating on acting and giving away his music for the time being.

As I was leaving Vanity this woman walked up to me and said 'Still looking good'! I was speechless and just kept walking.

So here's my pics with Randy and the cast. I'm happy with me in the Randy shots but not in the cast pic. Like I know you've heard before we didn't get much of a chance to get ready for the shot with the cast.

Arrived on Thursday at the hotel after a flight that was delayed but had a lovely taxi driver. The hotel was impressive and Dixie and I got along like a house on fire as the saying goes. We met up with a few people in the huge foyer and took some pics of each other. Then we walked over to the cathedral and met the Russian Tanyas. One could speak English, the other couldn't. We had an enjoyable dinner with them and <\/a>santa_elidan<\/b><\/a><\/span> , <\/a>jule2009<\/b><\/a><\/span>, <\/a>wirthwoman<\/b><\/a><\/span> <\/a>galeandrandy<\/b><\/a><\/span> and <\/a>predec2<\/b><\/a><\/span>. Dixie and I stayed up late talking that night and every night after that.



We had a restaurant, a bar\/resturant and another breakfast cafe in the hotel. The breakfast restaurant closed at 10 am and the smaller one opened at 10 am so it was very handy when we'd spent hours on the Net looking at everyone's pics and missed our usual buffet breakfast. We made good use of the bar\/restaurant the whole time we were there. Two waiters were really good to us. I bought them both chocolate soccer balls from the Lindt factory the day before we left. The whole place was football\/soccer mad because of the European Cup which is why there were flags everywhere. The guys loved their chocolate. One of them, Xandie was a QaF fan and proudly showed me his autographed copies of his S1 DVD. It was so funny. He was over the moon, practically jumping up and down that he'd got autographs. The staff were great, keeping our food for us when we thought we had to rush off to a Randy\/Sharon Question time but it ended up being later so they kindly heated it up for us.

Reception staff were very helpful too. Stupid me lost my Risenshine bag with my autographed poster I brought to get signed in it. Nobody handed it in. I think I left it in the kiosk when we bought water so that was disappointing but they let me get all the cast pics autographed again. The lovely drag queen asked everyone to hand it in if they found it. He\/she was so sweet. She said 'Now if you have Judy's bag please don't take it home. It doesn't belong to you and she will be very upset if she doesn't get it back so please be nice and hand it in'.  I'm thinking it may have been someone from outside the Con, at least that's what I'm hoping who picked it up in the kiosk. I'd hate to think it was one of the fans.

You've read all the reports about how chaotic it was. I could see Randy was enjoying himself watching all the entertainment provided which I thought was unnecessary. I just wanted to dance and the music wasn't very good either. I parked down near the stage and watched Randy and Peter for ages and some of the entertainment.

There were really cool drawings and art on the walls and the toilets had models' names on them like Cindy, Naomi, Heidi etc in red on the doors. The first pic is what the club looked like when we arrived. The third one is the VIP area where the Loft tickets were sitting with not much room for the cast.

We walked from the hotel to Peters Brauhaus, I think. It was more of a sprint so with my short legs and walking on the cobblestones it was hard to keep up. When we arrived we were at the same restaurant as Bobby, Hal and Harris. There were spare seats at our table so we motioned Scott over. He kept us entertained with funny stories and both he and Peter ordered Bratwurst. Peter was just behind and at the other end of another table. They were yelling across to each other about the size of the sausage when it arrived which would have been at least 30 cm\/one foot long. You can imagine the comments. I think Scott got through half of his and Peter slightly more. Then Peter swapped with Scott while we were supposed to have dessert. Wren said something like "I thought a man like you could handle a sausage that size" to Peter. We all just about fell on the floor laughing. We decided we'd rather talk than have dessert and just have a guide tell us about the cathedral.

Then we went outside and Peter and Scott kindly posed for pics. We all walked back to the cathedral and they all disappeared and came back eating ice creams which is a big thing in Europe. My friend, Nicky took me for one in Cannes, France which was the best ice cream I've ever had. So we all assembled on the steps near the cathedral for a flash mob to wave flags to support AIDS research. Not sure about that. Someone else may know. So Hal was with his gf Summa who is very beautiful and was lovely to us. They were joined at the hip, holding hands the whole time and kissing at the traffic lights on the way to the cathedral. They both looked like rock stars dressed in black and are very much in love.


After the flash mob we all went our own way and walked back to the hotel. That night was our Babylon night so more later. Here's a few pics of the City Walk and one of the frieze at the entrance to the cathedral. Truly a work of art.

So flist here's a bit of quick update on my trip. Currently in Paris till Saturday when I fly to Nice and Cannes.

Yesterday: We are totally exhausted and spending our first night in Paris. Got the Eurostar from London and my ticket wouldn't work. The apartment is very average in the Bastille district in the middle of many restaurants, one of which is right next to us. I hope I can sleep tonight.<\/div>
Lugged my heavy suitcase on the subway and broke the handle. So it was a walk in the heat trying to wheel it. Finally we got here and couldn't figure out how to get the key but managed after a phone call.  Then I accidentally dead locked the door and it took us about 10 minutes to fix. Leanne has a foot infection and we walked miles to find a pharmacy and realised there was one right across the road. We also walked miles in the wrong direction and bought the wrong phone cards. So I'm sitting here catching up on emails and feeling exhausted. We just had a drink and people watched. Lots of hot men around.

Had a great few days in London with Leanne and her friends. Stayed at an apartment at Dalston Junction with Mac and Maria. They were just the loveliest couple, 30 somethings and the apartment was new. I managed to catch my foot on the shower curtain and the rod and curtain fell down on top of me. I was dreading telling them but they were worried that I'd gotten hurt when it happened. How embarrassing. He was drop dead gorgeous with the most beautiful brown eyes. Dark and handsome, just how I like them.

Today: We're both totally exhausted and have been on the bus sightseeing today.Walked to the tour office today to be directed to another office where I was told that our tour wasn't booked. I'd been ringing all morning and couldn't get through. So we did the hop on hop off bus tour. Saw the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe and many other attractions. The architecture here is just stunning. Walked about ten blocks to find the Angelina Cafe this afternoon that David recced. It was well worth it. Hot waiters and great food and service. Best so far.

So we're taking it easy tonight. Bought myself a half bottle of Veuve Clicquot champers for tonight. I figure I deserve it.

I didn't realise but I ordered double vinyl records of the album as well. I think I wanted the lithographs and those came with the Deluxe Package. It came in a huge box with black and yellow stripes. Haven't listened to the album all the way through yet. RL got in the way. You know, my husband coming back home, having lunch with a friend, a massage. All that necessary stuff. So have a look at the pics I took and the songbook has some amazing pics of Adam as well. The album makes you want to dance. I've had it blasting in the car and am about to listen to the rest of it.

I'm devastated that Joshua is out. I just saw it when I watched the clip. I thought he was a sure winner. His voice is exceptional. I'm sure he has a recording career ahead of him.

ETA I've just been flicking channels and our Channel V which is a music station has just had GLAM NATION on since 7.30. GDI! Just caught the last 2 minutes of it with the funny clips of Adam and the band clowning around. I do have my own copy which I should watch. It's soooo good. So let's be aware and give our LGBT community the support they deserve.

What is homophobia you may ask? <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>

Definition: Homophobia is the irrational hatred, intolerance and fear of lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) people.  These negative feelings fuel the myths, stereotypes and discrimination that can lead to violence againt LGT people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

PEOPLE is the important word here.  They are PEOPLE too.  They love, laugh and argue just like everyone else.  Who they love, laugh and argue with makes no difference, and they should not be discriminated against or attacked because of it. I write M\/M stories because I love to write about a loving relationship (okay, usually with a touch of angst added!), but everyone – no matter who they are – deserves to live in peace, and get their happy ending.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

I am a "live and let live" kind of girl, and not usually taken to jumping up on the soapbox, but wanted to lend my support to HOP AGAINST HOMOPHOBIA<\/b><\/a>, and reiterate what this HOP is all about – spreading awareness of homophobia and standing together as part of the M\/M writing community against discrimination, and what we write about.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Yes, it's me. Just logged onto two websites and the best I could do was T row or W row in the back section of the Dress Circle after less than 5 mins into the booking time. So I rang the theatre twice. The second time I held on for 10 mins or so and got this lovely man with a beautiful English accent who was so helpful. So now I have a ticket in J row which is 3 rows from the front section of the DC and I'm picking the ticket up on the night. Can't wait. My feet will thank me for this.
