Chamber membership connects businesses, nonprofits, and individuals to the Bigfork business community through visibility, advocacy, networking, and collaboration. Membership is structured to be flexible, transparent, and focused on engagement rather than business size.

The previous employee-based dues model created confusion and unintended inequities, particularly for seasonal, labor-intensive, and small businesses. The tiered structure allows members to choose a level of investment based on the visibility, engagement, and leadership opportunities that best fit their goals.

No. All members receive core benefits, including a business listing, referrals, event pricing, eligibility for ribbon cuttings and Sundowners, and inclusion in Chamber communications. Higher tiers include additional visibility and scheduled opportunities that require more staff time and coordination.

  • Essential Partner – Core membership benefits and standard visibility
  • Enhanced Partner – Priority visibility and expanded communication access
  • Featured Partner – Scheduled featured placements and increased recognition
  • Premier Partner – Leadership-level visibility and top-tier recognition

Nonprofits receive 50% Essential and Enhanced tiers. Additional business affiliations and community partner options are also available.

Members are encouraged to choose a tier based on how actively they want to engage and how visible they want to be. A brief “Which Tier Is Right for You?” guide is available, and Chamber staff are always happy to help walk through options.

Yes. Any recommended tier included with invoicing is provided as a guide based on past engagement. Members may select any tier that fits their needs and may upgrade at any time.

All members may submit content to the weekly Chamber newsletter. Placement varies by tier:

  • Standard Placement – Member Happenings (all tiers; Tier 1 limited to one per month)
  • Priority Placement – Top of Bigfork Happenings (Enhanced Tier & up)
  • Monthly Highlight – Chamber Happenings or top of Member Happenings (Featured & Premier)
  • Quarterly Highlight – Chamber Happenings (Featured & Premier)

Featured and priority placements are scheduled to ensure balanced exposure.  View Newsletter Tier layout here.

The Chamber’s weekly newsletter is sent to more than 3000 business and community members, and visitors, and consistently achieves engagement levels higher than industry averages for community-based emails.

Newsletter placement is based on membership tier, content, and overall readability. All submissions are subject to approval, and final placement is determined based on what best supports the newsletter’s editorial flow and reader engagement. View Newsletter Tier layout here.

Members may indicate timing preferences, but exact placement is determined by the Chamber to maintain fairness, readability, and engagement. Featured and priority placements are scheduled in advance, while standard submissions are placed as space allows. View Newsletter Tier layout here.

Submission frequency depends on tier. Standard monthly submissions are limited for Essential Partners, while higher tiers include expanded or scheduled opportunities. All submissions are subject to editorial review to maintain clarity and readability.

Each business entity or location must hold its own membership to receive full benefits. Additional Business or Affiliate Partners may be added at and Essential or Enhanced level at 50%. Primary membership must be at the same or higher tier of any affiliate membership.

  • Nonprofits receive 50% off any tier
  • Additional Business / Affiliate Partners may be added at a reduced rate
  • Community Partners (individuals/families) may join at a support-focused level

Membership dues are reviewed annually by the Finance Committee. Any increase recommendations require Board approval. There are no automatic increases without review.

Banner ads provide additional online visibility on Chamber-owned webpages related to business and visitor information. Placements may include pages such as the business directory, lodging, food & drink, membership, and other Chamber or business-focused pages.

Banner ads are available as included benefits at certain tiers or as add-ons, depending on membership level. Placement and duration are scheduled by the Chamber.

Chamber staff are available to answer questions, explain benefits, and help members get the most value from their membership. The goal is a program that feels supportive, clear, and fair for all members. Call (406)837-5888 or email [email protected] with questions.
