 | 09:11 pm - I'm new Hi, I just joined. This seems like a very interesting community. My name is Megan by the way. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on songs that would go with "The Picture of Dorian Gray". I had some ideas but I don't think that they are all that great so I'm not going to say what they are. Thanks in advance. Current Music: Our Last Summer-ABBA

 | 02:24 am - A SEPARATE PEACE: The Soundtrack
emhen and I were talking about suitable songs for the novel A Separate Peace and, well, the idea became so intriguing that we collected the songs and made the soundtrack. (Click the link to see the songs we used and our explanations as to why. Also to see our nifty cover art. And to download the album, if you so desire! And to tell us what you think!)

| 08:16 pm - Hello! New here! I want this community to live because it is an awesome idea!
Any ideas for a bibliotrack of To Kill A Mockingbird? (Love it to death, esp. Boo Radley and the fact that Scout was dressed as a ham for the most dramatic scene in the book.)

 | 01:11 am - D'oh! I feel rather stupid because I should've posted this ages ago, but it only just occurred to me that it'd fit in this community. See, one of the last assignments we had to do in my senior AP English class last year was to come up with a song that fit 'Hamlet' in one way or another, whether it described the theme, plot, setting, a character, or whatever, and write a paper explaining why it fit. Almost everybody in the class handed in the assignment - though it was towards the end of the year and some people got lazy, so my teacher supplied a few supplemental songs - and then my teacher compiled mix CDs for all of us with the songs on them.
I obviously can't provide detailed explanations for each song, seeing as only one of them was my choice, but I think some of them are clear... I'll provide the track listing under a cut as well as a brief explanation for my song. :)

 | 05:00 pm Well, now that the sixth Harry Potter book is out, how about some bibliotracks? Personally I've got no idea, except for the fact that "Better Dead Than Lead" by Ted Leo & the Pharmacists always reminds me of the first book because of the alchemy references.
