Bu bağlamda kavramlar ve perspektifler farklı olsa da bahsedilenler arasında büyük bir benzerlik söz konusudur.

Recent insight suggests that cognitive impairment is an early and inevitable feature of Parkinson's disease (PD). The relevant evidence also suggests that its neuropsychological profile is distinct than that of Alzheimer's disease (AD), being mostly non-amnestic. Moreover, there may even be a benign dysexecutive and a progressive visuospatial subtypes. Hence, there is a need for cognitive screening instruments specifically designed for PD, for practical use in Movement Disorders clinics. Our aim was to see the applicability of the Turkish versions of 3 such instruments, as compared to traditional cognitive screening tests with established Turkish norms.

This paper reports on the use of cinema therapy at a psychiatry clinic for inpatients. The program, "Watching Cinema Group Therapy," was used with over 500 inpatients over the course of one year. We found that using movies for group psychotherapy sessions encouraged the patients to talk about their beliefs, thoughts, and feelings while discussing the characters and stories. We also used the movies as a reward for patients who had developed a therapeutic alliance. It motivated the patients to be active instead of simply remaining in their rooms. As a follow-up to full-length films, it was more useful to show short scenes to patients who had been administered high doses of drugs. Movies can be an important, positive, and productive means of treatment and teaching.

INTRODUCTION This study aimed to evaluate motor and non-motor symptoms in idiopathic Parkinson's disease (IPD) patients and to determine the self-reported influence of all existing symptoms on their quality of life (QoL). METHODS The sociodemographic and clinical characteristics, medical treatments, and Modified Hoehn and Yahr (mH&Y) scores of IPD patients without cognitive impairment were recorded. A survey questioning different motor and non-motor symptoms was administered to the patients. The patients were asked to rate their symptoms by number from the greatest influence to the least influence on their QoL. Subjects were divided into two groups: those suffering from IPD for ≤5 years (Group 1) and those suffering from IPD for >5 years (Group 2). Background: The most common type of dementia is an Alzheimer’s disease which is a major concern in growing chronic diseases in the geriatric society, and its connection with biochemistry has not been sufficiently understood. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effects of blood biochemistry on Alzheimer’s disease. Method: Eight participants aged 55+ with Alzheimer’s disease were analyzed. Objective: Using movies in psychiatric group therapy & rehabilitation classes provides 'Entertainment, Education, Empowerment' for the participants. We have provided such a setting where severely ill psychiatric inpatients. We aimed to describe the "Watching Cinema-Group Therapy" implementation for 500 inpatients in one year. Method: Selected movie clips were watched in the morning and group therapy session took place in the afternoon. The patients were instructed to watch the film closely, and if required, ask for certain scenes to be replayed for a better understanding. It was followed by review of the film. Results: We observed that these activities have encouraged the patients to talk about their beliefs, thoughts and feelings while discussing the characters and stories. We have also used as a reward for the patients who have therapeutic alliance. It motivated them to do something instead of being stayed in the room. Short movie scenes were more useful to follow up the films for the patients who have been administrated high doses of drugs. Conclusions: It is the ingenuity and creative approaches of the educators and healers using movies in favor of behavioral health improvement. Movies are strong and important tools to be used for positive as well as productive means in treatment and teaching.
