It all starts with a yeast
We tweak our yeast so it knows how to produce osteopontin.
A ‘powerhouse’ protein found abundantly in breastmilk, osteopontin is multifunctional - building/strengthening immunity, bone density, cognitive development and gut health. We unlock the world’s first supply of bioidentical osteopontin, creating new possibilities across infant nutrition, adult nutrition and personal care.

We tweak our yeast so it knows how to produce osteopontin.

Using precision fermentation, we get our yeast to make osteopontin in large stainless-steel fermenters. And, just like beer brewing, we feed our yeast water and sugars.

We isolate the osteopontin from the fermented broth, and purify and dry it to get a powder to power end-product formulations.

Osteopontin powder that can enhance infant and adult nutritional products.

There are over a thousand proteins in breastmilk. There’s more to come…
We use precision fermentation to unlock the supply of osteopontin for the first time ever. Flip these cards around for more insight!
Lower concentration in cows' milk than breastmilk
This means it takes 40,000L of cows’ milk to get just 1Kg of osteopontin!
Similarity between cow's milk & breastmilk osteopontin
This has limited the ability of the current cows' milk osteopontin to gain regulatory approval, e.g. in the US.
Less greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere
Precision fermentation emits 95% less GHGs, and uses 90% less water and land compared to traditional farming.
