So, remember that fic I told you all to go read a while back, with the Doctor and Merlin's discussion after the events of the Doctor Who episode, "Midnight"? Well, you may remember that in that fic, (Endless Midnights) Merlin mentions Captain Jack to the Doctor, and in her comment to the author, selannia said, "Tell us about when Merlin met Jack". And she did! The Time That Merlin Met Jack by kagedtiger is both lovely and heartbreaking.

In other news, the Barrowman has seriously injured himself, and cannot attend the TorchSong con in Chicago this weekend. After rupturing all of the ligaments in his ankle, he's under doctor's orders not to fly, and is supposedly stuck on his arse with his foot elevated. I can only imagine 1. how gutted he is, and 2. how hard it's going to be for him to sit still for an extended period of time. Best wishes that he heals quickly.

In related news, by some crazy, random happenstance, the TorchSong people have booked Peter Wingfield as a replacement guest. I have to wonder how he's going to be received by a room full of angry, disappointed Barrowman fans, many of whom may not even know who he is. Poor Peter. I can't wait to hear him talk about his experiences this weekend. ;)

You know, when I saw that Killa was falling into Primeval, I hoped in my little heart of hearts that she might start vidding it. And YAY! It mades me laugh, it makes me cry, it has everything I love about the show all wrapped up in a gorgeous package.

My boss, who handed me my annual review before she left the office tonight. It's fairly glowing, which is made of yay, even though there's no money for raises, bonuses, or promotions. At least I has a job, yay! My favorite part of my review? "Becky uses her time effectively." Well, of course I do. I am good at prioritization. I always make sure I get enough done during the course of the day so that I am free to spend the last hour or so reading porn. :)

In the spirit of getting back to what we're really all here for...I want to know about your Favorite Fandom First Times. I love, love, love first time fic. It's my biggest kink - if that can be called a kink. And I don't care how many first times my favorite pairings get. I can read John and Rodney kissing/sexing/falling in love for the first time a thousand times, in a thousand different ways, and still be in love with it. So tell me, Flist, what's your favorite first time story? Rec me your favorite McShep first time(s), and/or your favorites from other fandoms. (Of course, if you rec me Heroes fic, or some other show that I've never seen, I reserve the right not to read it. Cause I'm just that way. *g*)
