The older generation of my family is on a cruise to Bermuda. Mom, paranoid about missing a certain double birth, has been emailing every morning. Yesterday's began with "The men are already out of control". Lmao.

I LIKED IT. Even the epilogue, which was sap-tacular. Sorry, I even liked that they killed Fred. Duh, she was going to off someone that I cared about. And like the twins were going to be providing comic relief after that point anyway. Particularly awesome? JK kicking the shit out of Harry/Hermione once and for all. I'll never forget that deranged idiot with the website decrying JK's malicious bait and switch with that ship. Plzzz.

Although, I wish she hadn't killed Tonks, or even put her with Lupin in the first place. I'm sure Teddy turned out fantastic, but that pairing never rang true for me. Remus had so much potential as a character. The side-plot he was given in the last two books felt tacked on. Obviously she was trying to give him a reason to work past all the crap he's had to deal with, which is valid. Maybe if they'd been dating from the first, it wouldn't have come off so slap-dash. That she killed him was fine. That she killed him and his young wife, turning Teddy into a war orphan just like his godfather? Ew. No.
