Sorry this won't be a proper entry. I can't think of anything worthwhile (read: fannish or witty) to say, but I wanted to announce an F-list cut. I get fairly personal on this thinger and having so many people able to read it makes me all self-conscious. This cut was pretty much only people that I haven't back and forthed with in literally years. I may, however, do a bigger one soon. Just kind of clean my lj house a bit and start fresh? I haven't decided for sure. The last thing I want to do is hurt anyone's feelings and I sometimes have funny ideas about who wants me around and who doesn't.

But, yes. I wish long, happy lives to everyone reading this who got the chop.

Approx. two weeks ago, I got home and said to my family, "So I'm making minimum wage working full-time at a drugstore that's closing in two months, which means that merchandise should be priced to move, but all it actually means is that the store is a giant mess and there aren't prices on anything which makes customer interactions last twice as long as I'm forced to price everything for them before I enter it into the system, and the neighborhood is largely Russian so most of the customers have limited English skills and/or are so blunt they toe the line of rudeness, and the managers loathe what they're doing so they bounce the rude right back to the customers threefold." Beat. "And this is supposed to make me not hate life any more."

The weird thing is, it's sort of working. I can't explain it. Although. The more time I spend listening to skatey-eight bazillion versions of the same ten Christmas carols, the more the lyrics start to bug me out. I'll Be Home For Christmas? What the hell is that. It's worse than what that red shoes song was supposed to be. And Walkin' In A Winter Wonderland, if that's even the title, is like one long acid trip. It's all very confusing.

Oh, and it was very disappointing to watch the first part of Tin Man and realize that it was just as charmless and devoid of magic as the reviews claimed. I was hoping the critics may have just had a stick up their asses. But alas, no.

Why is it that when you declare that some particular thing falls outside of the Usual Order Of Things, someone inevitably lists an example or two? And they're always angry about it, or self-righteous, like that disproves what you originally said. It kind of doesn't! Like if I were to say that the majority of Americans are white, I am not inferring that African-Americans don't exist. So telling me about all your black friends would be highly pointless. Get it? GOSH.

I had pretty much given up on the idea of having a ten year high school reunion, simply because we're five minutes away from year eleven and I haven't heard a peep. Then today I got an alert on Classmates.com from the organizers saying basically, "Oh, hey. You guys wanna hang out in a month? Sorry to anyone who got the hell outta here or has, like, a life or something cuz you won't be able to come lol."

Meanwhile, I just applied to three jobs close to my hometown. So much for the city being full of opportunity. Gosh.

The express train drops me off right next to the movie theater and it's been months and months, so after my job interview I caught Across the Universe.

I have finally finished watching FMA. I'm confused, which is nothing new, but satisfied. Armstrong is my husband, just so you all know. Why are there no decent compilations of memorable quotes online? It's quite distressing.

Someone please tell Family Guy that child molestation? Isn't nearly the gut-buster they think it is.

Apparently everyone hates the Heroes wonder twins. Whatevsk. I hated literally everyone* for the first part of last season, so I'm inclined to give the writers a chance. Besides, chances are very soon I'm going to be related to a Hispanic twin named Alejandro. It's like these kids are my way too old niece and nephew.

Can't think of anything else to say. I should really email my fake boyf on chemistry.com. It's been almost a week and a half. He's probably cyber-flirted with all kinds a crazy chicks in that amount of time. Hell, he could have gotten e-married or something.

I was woken up several hours earlier than I intended by the ringing of my phone. It was an organization that had seen my resume on monster.com and wanted me to interview. I just checked the details on their website and it's pretty much exactly the job I wanted. Exactly. Casework. With kids. They want someone with my degree and experience. And it might not even be that much of a commute.

I doubt many of my current televised fixations will last the season, but one you should all be watching is Reaper. Sock + Hyde from That 70s Show = my cousin. And I actually knew a crazy person named Wysocki, so win for me. Other good ones are Journeyman and The Big Bang Theory, which I keep finding hilarious in spite of myself. Also Jon & Kate Plus 8 because they are the best freaking family EVER.

Up until today I was having a bad self esteem week, so I've had plenty of things to say, just nothing worthy of being heard by other people. In my pettiness I blame my mom for spending the weekend. She and Liz are so close that I feel kind of useless and faded when I'm with them both. One more point to bring up with my next counselor!

I now live twenty minutes outside of Manhattan and I have yet to go exploring. That's unconscionable. Sure, after I pay T-Mobile for the month I'll have less than 200 dollars to my name. WHATEVSK. That's no excuse. Tomorrow I'm waking up before eleven, I'm packing a lunch, and I'm getting lost in Central Park. It'll be amazing.

Who's idea was it to add cover letters to resumes? Fuck you. I thought when I left school that I'd be done writing random bullshit by the handfuls.

Liz and D just took off for their first Lamaze class. Feels like they're cutting it a bit close, seeing as she's already been to the hospital twice for pre-term labor. But I don't know. Maybe Lamaze doesn't take very long to learn? Over the weekend my cousin Jay, the one with the punk band, said that his long-time girlfriend wants a baby and he promised her within the next couple of years. The idea of anyone my age having a kid still blows my mind (How can they be ready for that? I never will be.), but him especially. I shudder to think of what he'd even name them. Sid and Nancy, probably. Nutter.

Spending the day in Philly tomorrow. I'm kind of petrified to face some people, so right now I'm really jittery and scattered. This is mostly about my internship supervisor. But I've been hanging on to this birthday gift for his kids since early April, plus I need to talk things out and try to see if he'd give me a not shitty reference. Still, akjhaksl. Facing consequences is not my idea of a good time.

Unwritten is a crap pop song, but the more it replays in my head, the more I love the sentiment. The things I've done in the past will not determine how my life plays out in the future. It'll be whatever I make of it and it's going to be amazing. So I should really get started.
