DESCRIPTION
Futura®100 is a contemporary reinterpretation of the geometric typeface originally designed by Paul Renner in 1927. Conceived as a global type system, it extends the legacy of Futura to meet the needs of contemporary design: multilingual, digital, and editorial.
While preserving the geometric clarity that defines the original, Futura®100 expands it into a robust typographic system. It introduces a new Regular weight—absent from the historical family—establishing a more balanced core and improving consistency across text, branding, and digital applications.

Context
Futura®100 is a collaborative project developed by TypeTogether in close partnership with Bauer Types, the historical rights holder of Futura. Rather than a revival, the project defines a new stage in the typeface’s evolution—faithful to its origins, yet designed for a global, contemporary context.
Grounded in extensive research into Renner’s original sources, Futura®100 reinterprets the design through modern criteria of legibility, digital performance, and system coherence. Conceived from the outset as a multi-script family, it transforms Futura from a modernist icon into a truly global typographic tool.
Biography
TypeTogether is an independent type foundry founded in 2006, internationally recognised for its expertise in multi-script typography. Built on collaboration, research, and technical excellence, the foundry designs typefaces conceived for multilingual communication and real-world use.
With a strong focus on editorial typography and complex writing systems, TypeTogether develops type families that perform consistently across languages, cultures, and media—bridging typographic tradition with the demands of contemporary design.
