Can I offload my document files to the cloud?

If you have lots of documents in your WordPress media library then this will be taking up server space, and you may wish to offload them to the cloud.

To do this, we recommend using Document Library Pro with the WordPress offload solution: Infinite Uploads. The Infinite Uploads team have tested and confirmed that the two plugins are fully compatible.

Infinite Uploads offloads all media stored in your wp-content/uploads folder to the cloud. Since Document Library Pro saves files in WordPress’s default upload directory, it works seamlessly with Infinite Uploads.

However, bear in mind that Infinite Uploads offloads your entire WordPress media library, not just the media used by Document Library Pro.

Why would I want to offload my media library to the cloud?

Offloading your document library to the cloud with Infinite Uploads offers several benefits:

  • Avoid disk space limits – Free up storage on your server.
  • Cost-effective storage – Reduce hosting costs with scalable cloud storage.
  • Faster content delivery – Serve files efficiently via a global CDN.
  • Easy setup – No API keys or code modifications required.

This makes managing and delivering your media files seamless and efficient.

Will this impact the way I upload my media to Document Library Pro?

No, you will continue uploading your media exactly as you have before. Infinite Uploads operates seamlessly in the background, ensuring that your workflow remains unchanged. The plugin does not modify the WordPress media library interface or the way Document Library Pro handles file uploads.
