Call Centers have been situated within that sector in which emotions are most intensively used. For competitiveness, understanding the emotional processes is important. Therefore, the aim of this study is to understand the effect emotional dissonance has on turnover intentions and absenteeism, and the moderating effect of quality of work life perceptions for call center employees. The study was conducted with 318 Turkish call center employees. A significant positive effect was found regarding emotional dissonance on turnover intentions and on unexcused absenteeism. Instead of functioning as a moderator, quality of work life perceptions affected turnover intentions and absenteeism directly.

Among those terms, the most popular ones are related with mindfulness and awareness. The main purpose of this study was to explore possible roles of mindfulness and self-consciousness on interpersonal conflict resolution approaches. The study was conducted by a self-report data gathered from 321 university students using Interpersonal Conflict Resolution Approaches Scale, Mindful Attention Awareness Scale and Self-consciousness Scale. The results showed that mindfulness and sub-dimensions of the self-consciousness as internal state awareness, style consciousness, appearance consciousness and social anxiety have significant roles in th positive and constructive conflict resolution processes. All these findings were discussed in the light of literature.

For Creating Unity and Oneness in Organizations: Understanding Oneness Behaviors in Organizations from the Perspective of Integrative Self-Knowledge and Organizational Citizenshi p Behavior

Related to Oneness principle, there is actually no "Other" but "We". In the same line of thought, when you see no other, you help and support the correspondent no matter what his or her position/ race/ religion. As a concept, Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) seems to have common attitudinal and behavioral aspects (Organ & Ryan, 1995) such as Consideration of others and Altruism. There have been many attempts to understand OCB from dispositional and attitudinal perspectives. Usually, the personality factors have been argued to be indirect contributors to the construct. Instead, attitudinal contributors such as job satisfaction and commitment have been found to have a strong link. In this study, a personal attitudinal domain, integrative self-k...

Considering the types of problems humanity is facing in different spheres of life, we thought it is worthwhile to ask what might be some daily examples that reflected oneness in behavioral terms. As part of our query that required completion of six separate studies, we have come up with a behavioral scale comprised of two factors. Focus on one’s self reflected acting based solely on one’s own needs and interests, consideration of the other represented behaving by taking into consideration who is also present in one’s environment.

So far, none of the studies seems to have considered the possible influence of self-efficacy as a moderating variable in that relationship. Positive organizational behavior approach strongly offers usage of individual capacity variables for producing positive organizational outcomes ( Luthans, 2002 ). In this study, we have explored the moderating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between justice perceptions and turnover intentions. Nine-hundred and four employees coming from private companies of Istanbul and Ankara, in Turkey, participated in the study. To analyze the results, we have used confirmatory factor analyses and regression analyses. Our results revealed important findings in relation to the moderating effects of different self-efficacy dimensions. We have found a negative relationship between justice perceptions and turnover intentions. For self-efficacy dimensions, many interaction effects were as expected, except for those high in willingness to expend effort in completing the behavior. We discussed the results in light of certain theoretical assumptions and offered related recommendations for organizational practice and future research.

As today's business environments become more complex and are ongoing rapid change, it is very important for managers not to ignore the attention and the time they should allocate to their subordinates' performance observations. The current study exemplifies an important methodology "pinpointing" implemented for the sales managers working in a pharmaceutical industry as part of a training program.

(Soc Behav Pers 30(8):821–836, 2002). The study includes two convenience samples, comprising a total of 659 university students. The test–retest reliability study was carried out in a private university in Istanbul. The validity study was carried out in a state university that is located in Samsun, a city in the black sea region of Turkey. Both schools recruit students coming from various regions in Turkey. The results revealed a 10-item scale as a better fit compared to the original 20-item scale. The presence of both subfactors self-reflection and insight were confirmed. The Cronbach's alpha for the whole scale was .70, .80 for the self-reflection and .65 for the insight subscales. The convergent and dis-criminant validity analyses revealed a negative relationship between private self-consciousness and insight scores, posi...

Abstract: The current study aims to understand the roles of internal work motivation and psychological capital in terms of work performance outcomes within the scope of positive organizational behavior. The study is carried out as a longitudinal design by collecting data from voluntary 65 blue collar workers from a private firm in five different time periods. The data was analyzed by using Amos 22.0 program through latent growth curve modelling. The results showed that psychological capital increased not only the initial level of intrinsic motivation but also increased the intrinsic motivation which decreased in time. Moreover initial level intrinsic motivation increased the job performance positively, and decreased intrinsic motivation over time diminished the job performance.

Our sample is composed of 1,169 male junior soccer players selected via nationwide sports selection program. We have employed a cross-sectional research design to assess the relationship between variables by using structural equation modeling. Our results suggested that personal factors, familial resilience, and society but not peers serve as protective factors for elevating hope, self-esteem and finally academic achievement for pre-adolescent children. We have also found that resilience have differential effects when combined with an internal locus of control supporting Masten and Reed (2002)'s argument that resilience comes from operations of ordinary human systems. In addition, culture has become an important ingredient in the complex relationships between certain predictors and their outcomes and it is almost impossible not to consider its determining role in those relationships and contexts.

It has been argued that several personal dispositions such as achievement motivation, fear of failure, and aggression levels could be at play when the child is trying to achieve in a sports context. Among related outcomes of these personal dispositions, sports performance, teamwork , fairplay and sportsmanship behaviors (Arthur-Banning, Wells, Baker, and Hegreness, 2009) have been widely researched and discussed in the literature. The current study will try to explore the relationships between these dimensions from a personal disposition perspective using an observational method. The sample consisted of 79 selected male soccer players. A total of 6 teams were observed during soccer play competition games. The results revealed interesting findings regarding the relationships between several personal and team-related behavior dimensions.

Instead, attitudinal contributors such as job satisfaction and commitment have been found to have a strong link. In this study, a personal attitudinal domain, integrative self-knowledge which is said to include "an ongoing sense of self-awareness" and "stable mental representations" (Robins, Norem, & Cheek, 1999; as cited in Ghorbani, Watson, & Hargis, 2008) will be explored. As a feature of positive psychology, argue that selfknowledge research has promise in promoting an understanding of psychological wellbeing across cultures. A psychologically healthy individual is said to be integrated in mind, body and soul; with no energy leakage from any disintegrated parts. Therefore, integrative self-knowledge will be treated as an independent variable regarding its predictive value for OCB and also the exploratory dependent variable Oneness Behavior in a sample of working population from different industries. By exploring the link between these concepts, this study will try to explain how individual variables contribute to the organizational effectiveness and healthiness as a whole, including our Global situation. As Ritchlin (2010) points out: "From the perspective of the global mind, our collective historical moment brings us to a bifurcation point of great magnitude and import that calls upon the inner integrity of each of us-our "inner sage"-to respond with care to the subtlest beginnings of what is to come".
