There have been dearth of infrastructural investments in the oil sector due to the enormous funds sunk into fuel subsidization, and as it is now, the government is yet to fix her refineries. As a result, there has been little or no significant improvement in the quality of life for the majority of Nigerians, 54 percent of who still lives below the national poverty line. Hence, the main objective of this study was to assess the contributions of the fuel subsidy in the Nigerian economy, that is, the study examined the problems, the prospects and a way forward for the sustainable economic growth in Nigeria. The study used Rosenstein-Rodan's Thesis or Theory of the " Big Push " to drive home the message. The major sources of data used in the study were primary and secondary data. The primary data were collected through the use of questionnaire and the secondary data were also collected. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data. The study found that fuel subsidy has not resulted in a significant improvement in the quality of the life for the majority of Nigerians. The study therefore recommended that government should invest heavily on infrastructures and human capital instead of focusing on just removing fuel subsidy.

A cardinal factor of elections is the electioneering campaign, which is run on funds so huge that candidates to elective offices cannot attempt to undertake it alone. The magnitude of this funds have potentials to impact (positively or negatively) on an economy, as made more manifest by the experience of the general elections of 2015 in Nigeria. This paper therefore, described electioneering campaigns in Nigeria and their impact on the Nigerian economy. The theory that forms the framework of study is economic shock theory. The study used survey method. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data. The findings showed that electioneering campaigns have caused a serious shock to the Nigerian economy. Hence, the implication of these findings is that if Nigeria continues with their mindset of electioneering campaign, the economy will continue to deteriorate. Hence, the study recommended that the federal government should empower the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to step up on its duties as regards the implementation of electoral laws in terms of the financial laid – down rules in elections so as to control its negative impact in the country's development.

Looking around, we observe various advancements in science, technology, climate, arts, culture, economy and politics. These advancements are welcomed especially when the resultant effects are auspicious to us. But, it is the case that these advancements do not totally yield effects that are positive. As a corollary, we are placed in a state of indecision: Are we to opt for these advancements, which propel global change and at the same time, to some extent, jeopardize our continued existence in this planet or do we jettison these advancements and remain in the primitive, which does not on its own, guarantee our continued existence in this planet? Such conundrum is the case for Africa. In the face of global change, Africa, either due to her being unprepared or her lacking of ideas of what next steps to take, has encountered many problems. The most critical of these problems is the one that concerns her natural environment. In truth, Africa has inherited a hazardous-living environment. The question we are left with is: Where will Africans live after the global change? In this respect, this paper tried to examine Africa's environmental concern as she participates in the global change. To do this, content analysis was adopted. The objective of this paper was to bring to the limelight the many ways Africa could be helped with regard to her hazardous environment as she experiences the fast-moving global change.

times, admits error. This prods one to take a look at how man attains
knowledge. The question one is left with is: Is man’s knowledge as a result of
an act or a cumulative achievement of several acts? For Lonergan, it is a
cumulative achievement of acts such as experiencing, understanding and
judging. Spurred by this Lonergan’s claim, this thesis explicitly studies
Lonergan’s epistemology using critical analysis as its method. The intention
here is that the reader of this work should begin to pay attention to the
conscious operations involved in his or her own knowing with the view to
knowing how come these errors to human knowledge and how they can be
averted.
