| So! I think I'm done fucking with my journal for a while. Rehashed the whole layout to work in S2 which is really nicer just a little more complicated to work with, can DO more but is also harder to specify what you want to do. I may add in some white background type thing cuz it's sort of dark now but eh. Later.
Anyway! So now that I can USE TAGS (I love tags) I'm going through my journal from past to present tagging all my entires. I'm currently in may of 2004. Eighteen was a really depressing year for me, the tragic thing being I didn't actually realize it until like, six months later when I was starting to come out of it. But GOD I was such an emo whiner, shit no wonder I felt lonely. I want to punch myself.
It's sort of tragic to look back on you old self and realize you were always exactly like everyone else your age. Teenage anime girl blog reads exactly like teenage anime girl blog. Saah. I suspect in four years I'll be able to say the same of this.
In other news, watched part of Paris is Burning today in human sexuality class, which is an amatuer documentary film on drag queens/kings in new york in the nineteen eighties. It was fucking FABULOUS. I'm going to go look for the rest of it on youtube.

| Saw AMV contest at Otakon.
ARG
Okay, it's not like they all sucked. Alot were even really awesome! But dammit, the ones that sucked were edging on unforgivable! For one, the FMA one SUCKED and I find that cruel because dammit, it's not like I've seen any vids for this fandom, at least get ONE decent one?! There is so much briliant footage, and I know I'm all lazy and shit, but not everyone is! Someone should be able to finish a good amv for fma x.x
But the mistakes for alot of them were just like, so basic! Okay, the FMA one? Behind Blue Eyes, the original. The original sucks, okay? It does. I know the Limp Bizkit version had that uber lame spelling contest in the middle, but otherwise it's a decent song, and I've been assured by Chira that there are non-sucky versions by other groups. Oh, and like, yanno, other SONGS that actually FIT.
AND THEN?! The whole thing was done from the first three episodes! LIKE ARGH! WHY DO YOU DO THIS?! EITHER WAIT FOR MORE TO COME OUT OR LIKE, DON'T FREAKING ENTER SUCH BADNESS!!
I was embarrassed to be a fan of the show when they played that >< Then I wept for our fandom.
Anyway, these mistakes were VERY common. For example:
Okay, "Memory" which is a Sailor Moon AMV using the cartoon AND the live action drama uses the song "Memory" by Sugar Cult. Very popular song, fairly fun. SO didn't fit the video at all O.o THERE IS MORE TO MAKING A DECENT AMV THAN JUST MATCHING THE LYRICS TO THE IMMEDIATE ACTION FOOLS! There are things like TONE and FEELING and yanno, that stuff! Grr.
The only Slayers one was just boring x.x And they used a shitty cover of Glory of Love for it too. Same with the FuriKuri Last Train Home one.
One person did an original submission! I mean, the animation and art used? Original! It wasn't amazing but pretty awesome considering. By Aluminum Studios named Silence.
*looks at list again* God, so many of these AMVs had the problem of bad song selection. Either bad versions or just bad choice in general. Halfway through the Serious/Dramatic section I was going to kill someone if the Eva vid sucked, because there are TOO FUCKING MANY serious/dramatic Eva vids, and if this one sucked someone should die. ...I was still feeling bitter over FMA at the time.
It didn't suck, luckily. It was quite good, and like, I totally forgot how fucking insane Asuka was >D
Hmmm...Lets see, my list of really good ones are as follows...
Love in Digital - Video Girl Ai - No Doubt "It's My Life" what it Means to be Young - Final Fantasy X - Fire, Inc. "Tonight is What it Means to be Young" Silence - Original - Delerium featuring Sara McLaughlin "Silence" Faithless - Evangelion - Linkin Park "Numb" "Opening" Angel's Redemption - Ayashi no Ceres - Mazedude "Bloodbath" Staring Down the Barrel - Trigun - Shinedown "45" Playing for Time - Cowboy Bebop - Must "Time is Running Out" And That's That - Furi Kuri - Phantom Planet "Big Brat" Won't Back Down - Outlaw Star - Fuel "Won't Back Down (Bring You Hell Remix)" End of All Hope - X - Nightwish "End of All Hope" Three Outta Four Ain't Bad - Dragonball Z - Papaya "Pink Dinosaur" Build Me Up Buttercup - Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou - Goops "Build Me Up Buttercup" German 101 - Full Metal Panic Fumoffu - Rammstien "Feuer Frei" AMV Hell - Various - Various Alternative Eva Opening: Eva Bebop Evangelion - Yoko Kanno "Tank!" Disney in D(wchang) Minor - Naruto - Disney "One Jump"
That and there was a Naruto one that was like the SasuNaru "Ninja" one of before >D But with "Whatever!" instead that I'll have to find.
Also? OMFG MY LEGS HURT X.X I'm half avoiding going to the con now because of it >D Like OW. But I have to go in the next hour, there is a FMA cosplay photoshoot I want to go to. Which reminds me, I go a picture of an awesome Hughes >D

| I..uh..kept forgetting, and have now missed the online, preregistration date by one day ^^; Fuck. Yay for getting up early on Friday to stand in line when like, they don't even start with at the door registration until 9 x.x | |
|
| Okay, I'm going to be made fun of for this or else blinked at obliviously. I am reading books totally outside of my circle and I'm absolutely addicted, reading a book or more a day and I've been at it since I finished book two about six days ago and I'm currently on book nine. And then I have to go buy ten in hardback tomorrow and then I'll actually catch up on internet things and such and such.
Anyway, the Janet Evanovich novels which lack a series title more than "A Stephanie Plum Novel" in a very small letters under the author's name which is neon and point 87 font. Laugh all you want, I don't care, Ranger is hot.

| Very first college class EVER, I leave in twelve hours.
......I'm already planning to use the time to outline a few short story ideas. ^^;
|
| Still watching the kid's commentary is really funny, cause these kids really know shit about music >D I kid of assumed that like they were taught what was necessary for the movie, but apparently it's the opposite >D The kids had to teach Jack Black what to teach them in the movie >D Or the director is all "No, play it worse, you can't play better than Jack" >D
Jeez, I really regret not keeping with the piano x.x I really do *sulk*
