"I'm on my feet, I'm on the floor, I'm good to go."

Riku -- _junko
I wish my period would just get here and be done with it. I'm sick of being on this rollercoaster of emotions that I can barely keep a handle on. I can't stop thinking about everything and anything, and it's making it difficult to sleep. Between a minor fight last night and all the stuff weighing on my mind, I got maybe three hours all told. This happened quite a bit last week, too. I can't do this for much longer.

I am booking out of here as soon as I am able. There's laundry to do at home, along with some minor cleaning throughout the house. Then, we need to decide which project to work on. We still have:

--paint the spare bedroom
--second coat on the nerd room
--move more stuff (incl. desk and computer) from Lowell's parents' house
--clean out garage
--organise/decorate living room
--organise/clean basement

The first three are more imperative than the last three. We are working on finalising plans for the whole "gaming day" thing. If it all goes through, I'd like to have the rooms painted and ready by the time we start. We are also getting the internet and such on Saturday morning, so we need to have the nerd room done and Lowell's desk moved in by then. Perhaps that just answered my question as to what we do tonight.

I also need to check our "schedule" for wedding planning, to see where we're at. I know that most of the invitation companies are having sales now, as wedding season is "off-peak", so we might as well bite the bull by the horns on that one and get rolling on it. Ditto with Save the Date cards. Those get mailed in March and the invites in July or August, but it's not going to hurt to have that done when the price is right.

...stupid fax machine. Go to hell.

Today's schedule, then.Collapse )

Let's do it to it.

Fishing Leo -- me! (and Scott Ramsoomair
I arrived home after driving to St. Lawrence O'Toole to hear Fr. Novick say mass (felt the need, and wanted to see how he was doing) to find not one Asian in my house, but two. Both Lowell and Aldwin were sitting on my living room floor, board game between, looking very happy. Our friend Will regaled them with stories of the joy that is Axis and Allies, so the boys (which included Will, who came later) have switched from Risk (at least for the time being) to that particular game. They played from approximately 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

...I enjoy parentheses, it seems.

At any rate, it's been bandied about that we should do a board gaming day/night ever since ST Days, and I think we're going to get it off the ground soon. Tentative is Sundays starting at 2:00 PM, running to about 9:00 PM. There's also the option of having some Wii gaming days, and perhaps we could do some LAN or online gaming should the mood suit; we get the internet this coming Saturday. Lowell and I need to discuss this a bit more so that we have all the logisitics worked out before we put out a proper invite. We also have to oh, I don't know, finish painting the rooms in our house. That might not be a bad idea, either. But I'm pretty excited, though I'm not the biggest board game person ever. Here's hoping that whatever second job I get (when I get my ass up and go look for one) doesn't get in the way of this. If it does, well...Lowell's a good host. :)

Got a fourth shot for free today. Booyah!

All of the out of towners are back in their respective home states/countries. My schedule and weather did not permit me to be as social as I would have liked to be, and I feel badly about it. Everyone came out for my birthday (YAY), though, and I had a bit of time with everyone while they were in. Wish it could have been more. Glad to have seen Maryam, Nikki, Joel, and Daniel...though glad doesn't really do it justice.

Goals for this week are to get the walls painted (so sick of painting...), go to the gym at least twice, organise/decorate the house a little more, and get the rest of my boxes/furniture out of the garage so we can both park there. Our house is right at a T intersection, and it's hard to park on the street when it snows and the plows come by. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but we are having the damned snowiest winter in ages. Blargh.

Should probably get some work done now. I left my house at 8:15 and got to work at 9:35. Damn it.
