The token generated during application creation is only a temporary token used primarily for testing, as explained in the previous section. To create a long-lived token, you need to follow these steps.
1 – Go to Business Settings.
2 – Go to System users section and click on Add.
3 – Enter a name for the user and grant the Admin role, then click Create system user.
4 – Click on Assign Assets. Then select the previously created WhatsApp app and grant full control to the system user.
5 – At the top of the screen, click on Generate Token.
6 – A screen will appear where you will have to select the application, a token expiration period, and select the permissions, which will be as follows:
- whatsapp_business_messaging.
- whatsapp_business_management.
7 – Click on Generate Token and copy it to use in AutomatorWP -> Settings -> WhatsApp.
