Formidable Forms is an excellent solution for get leads from your website, and it is super cool. It has a fancy design and a super intuitive form builder. Looking forward to how this plugin interacts with AutomatorWP.
Install Formidable Forms AutomatorWP integration
After installing this great plugin, you will need to get our free integration for AutomatorWP, so please, download it from Dashboard > Plugins > Add new.
On the search field, type Formidable Forms AutomatorWP and click Install and then Activate.
Create a Contact Form
Just going to Formidable > Forms (Lite). You will see a Contact Forms already created. Yihaa!
The automation mode
- Go to AutomatorWP > Automation > New Automation
- Select the anonymous one. Remember AutomatorWP can only set anonymous automations with only one trigger.
- Trigger section > Formidable Forms > Guest submits a form, and we have to select Contact Us (the form that had already created).
Let’s go to the Actions section. You can choose between using an existing user or creating a new one. We recommend selecting the first option: Existing user, to check if the user who has filled the contact form is already created on your system.
- Choose the Existing user option.
- Choose the option Email from Field to search the user selection field.
- In the field value input, select the hamburger button and click on Guest submits {form} and then on the Form field value option.
- After clicking on the form field value, you will see a filled text on the field with a structure similar to TRIGGER_ID:form_field:FIELD_KEY. Let’s see every element:
- TRIGGER_ID is a number generated automatically by WordPress, so you do not have to touch it. Yeah, please do not touch it. Let it like it is.
- form_field is the name of the tag you are using, so you have to keep this text as it is too.
- FIELD_KEY is the only text you have to change by the Field Key of your Formidable Forms. You can find it on Formidable > Forms (Lite) > the form you are using. And copy the code from the field key section in the Advanced Tab in those fields you would like to map. It is a text.
- Enter the Field Key in those places you would like to map from this form to create your user. In our case, it is “2” for our email field.
- Finally, press Save the action and Save & Activate the Automation.
Your Formidable Forms form is ready to get leads!
