Uncanny Automator 6.3 introduces RSS feed automation for WordPress, a Discord integration, enhanced WooCommerce automations,…
What’s new in Automator Pro 5.9
The Uncanny Automator Pro 5.9 release adds a variety of high-value triggers, actions, tokens, and conditions and other improvements based on recent user requests.
New triggers and actions
Gravity Forms gains a new trigger that fires when an entry is deleted from a form. This trigger came up to support a workflow where an entry being deleted via GravityKit would trigger the associated user to be deleted, but it might also be used as a notification tool or in other workflows to monitor entry deletions. On the action side, recipes can now delete all form entries for a specific user.
Easy Digital Downloads introduces a payment failure trigger that will initiate workflows whenever any payment fails, whether it’s to notify an admin or sales team, remove CRM tags from a user, or even keep a log of recipe failures in Notion.
To support the new Kadence integration released in Uncanny Automator 5.9, there’s an additional trigger that runs when a user submits a form with a specific value in a specific field.
Our WooCommerce integration adds 3 new triggers:
- A product is restocked
- A product variation is out of stock
- A product variation is restocked
Perhaps when an item is out of stock users can sign up for a notification list (like with our User Lists addon), and when it’s restocked, a User Loop could be used to automatically initiate an email campaign to let users know that the product is back in stock.
Have you ever wanted an easier way to turn comments on and off for a specific post? Our WordPress core integration gains that action, so you can set up recipes that control the availability of comments based on whatever criteria you set.
Our WPCode integration adds one new trigger for a snippet throwing an error. While WPCode has great error handling and can disable snippets so sites or behaviours don’t break, now you can do things like send SMS or Slack notifications on failure, or even turn on or off related snippets inside WPCode.
Finally, LifterLMS gains a new trigger for an order status of a product type changing to a specific status.
Other updates
To facilitate easier targeting in post loops, new tokens are available for Post URL, Post slug, Featured image, and Author.
The WordPress Core trigger for “A specific type of post is set to a status” adds tokens for Post author ID and Post slug, while the “user submits an assignment” trigger in LearnDash gains an Assignment ID token.
For GiveWP users, there’s a new condition for whether or not a user has an active recurring donation. For one site we recently supported, there were some workflows where active donors gain extra perks in certain recipes, which this condition now allows.
Actions in the Advanced Coupons integration now allow setting values for the “activity” and “related text” columns in activity logs. This allows you to add identifiable notes related to a recipe so that anyone reviewing Advanced Coupons logs can see what assigned (or revoked) credits.
That wraps up the Pro 5.9 release. For full details about all changes, make sure to review the changelog.
