Introduction

The Ultraviolette Tesseract is an all-new electric scooter that was launched in March 2025 and it is available at an introductory price of ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, Ultraviolette Automotive has officially entered the electric scooter segment of the Indian two-wheeler market. The segment has witnessed rapid growth over a short period of time with several manufacturers, including both start-ups and legacy players, launching their respective products. Ultraviolette started its E2W journey with premium electric motorcycles. With the launch of the Tesseract, the brand aims to tap into the more popular and highly competitive electric scooter segment.

Ultraviolette Tesseract Price:

The Ultraviolette Tesseract is available at an introductory price of ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). This price point is available for the first 10,000 customers, after which the price will be increased to ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries of the Tesseract will commence in the first quarter of 2026.

When was the Ultraviolette Tesseract launched?

The Ultraviolette Tesseract was launched in India on March 5, 2025, at the company’s Fast Forward event in Bengaluru. This is the company's first e-scooter and was launched alongside the Ultraviolette Shockwave, an electric enduro motorcycle. Ultraviolette is gearing up to go on an EV offensive, with plans to launch 10 new models spanning scooters and long-range cruiser bikes.

How many variants and colour options of the Ultraviolette Tesseract are available?

The Ultraviolette Tesseract is available in three variants which vary in terms of the battery and range provided. It comes available in multiple colour options, including Solar White, Sonic Pink, Stealth Black, and Sand. The Tesseract 3.5 comes with a 3.5 kWh battery pack that claims to allow for an IDC-certified range of 162 km on a single charge. The 5 kWh battery pack variant puts the single-charge range at 220 km. The Tesseract 6 is the top-tier variant that comes with a 6 kWh battery pack, enabling a single-charge range of 261 km. Pricing details for each variant has not been revealed yet and will be made public in Q4 2025.

What features are available in the Ultraviolette Tesseract?

The Ultraviolette Tesseract is fitted with LED headlamps positioned at the centre of the front apron. The EV also has a windscreen, which adds to its sporty appearance. Other features of the e-scooter include a 7.0-inch TFT screen with navigation, 34 litres of underseat storage, 14-inch wheels, and so on. Ultraviolette states that the Tesseract will include a number of features that are unique to this segment. To this end, the e-scooter is fitted with dual radars and front and back cameras that enable features such as rear collision alert, haptic feedback for the handlebar, and spatial awareness.

What is the battery and range of the Ultraviolette Tesseract?

The Ultraviolet Tesseract can produce 20.10 bhp of maximum power and, with its top variant, claims to offer a range of up to 261 km on a full charge. Ultraviolette further states that the Tesseract can reach speeds of up to 125 kmph. The electric scooter can sprint from a standstill to 60 kmph in 2.9 seconds.

It offers three battery pack options: 3.5 kWh, 5 kWh, and 6 kWh. The 3.5 kWh battery pack provides up to 162 km of range on a single charge, while the 5 kWh battery pack delivers up to 220 km on a full charge. The 6 kWh battery pack is available in the top-spec and offers 261 km of single-charge range.
