Soil behavior is strongly influenced by the water content dikandungannya, a type of soil that has a lot of problems in the development konstruksipada general and in particular road construction is expansive soil. Soil types inimempunyaki very high shrinkage and development properties, the expansive initanah research will be added a few per cent of lime as binder primarily forming minerals, namely montmorillonite. As the embankment material, shape stability test used is free compressive strength test. The method used was tested in the laboratory according to some standard of ASTM. The conclusion is: the magnitude of the voltage value of land without lime mix of free compressive strength test in a row, namely 0 days: 0.9929 kg / cm2; 5 days: 0.9422 kg / cm2; 10 days: 0.5268 kg / cm2; 15 days: 0.5085 kg / cm2; 20 days: 0.4517 kg / cm2.
