Other recent ASTTBC Bylaw amendments were effective September 8, 2025 and the most significant changes include:
- Clarifying trainee supervision requirements and expediting applications for trainee to practising.
- Changes to extend renewal cycle until January 31 to accommodate cancellation requirements timelines and to avoid overlap with holiday period.
- Updates to the CPD program to allow for more efficient enforcement prior to the renewal deadline and simplification of requirements.
- Clarify what “cooperation” with investigations is.
- Clarify what legal matters (charges/litigation, etc) need to be reported.
- Update and provide more specificity around the work experience/competencies required for registration as a technologist and technician.
- Housekeeping on RFPT registration requirements.
