Went to San Francisco the other day. Was supposed to have dinner there but my father forgot his wallet and wanted to go back and get it (I could have paid? welp.) so we wound up having dinner closer to home instead.

I took some random photos, since criminalqueen's little series of post about her country/town is really interesting, and so I thought I'd show non-local people a bit of what it looks like here? I'm no writer, so these are just pictures.

I stopped by Angelic Pretty too, and it turns out I'd missed the party by a week /)_(\. Oops. Picked up a ring anyway because I am a horrible person. There was also a nice Putu dress that fit really well, but Putu's quality is not up to my standards, at least not for the prices that they charge.
I also stopped by Rasputin records (which I should have gotten a photo of! It's this 5 story tall record store that has just about all the weird crap that I listen to. They even have a psychobilly section! They're also right next to a pizza place, so the whole store smells like pizza.) to see if they had any Agalloch albums, and lo, they had Marrow of the Spirit. But they had two copies of it, for two different prices, and the only differences I could discern were that one had a sticker, was more expensive, and it looked like it was printed ever so lighter than the other. In the end I was too confus and didn't bother getting either of them. I'm holding out for a copy of The Mantle, anyway.

Basically all of these pics are in Union square, which is the heart of one of the classier parts of the city where all the designer boutiques/places none of us will ever be able to afford in our lives are.

Hello, gorgeous Dior Homme model!

The SF pigeons are really friendly and/or give no fucks.

There are painted hearts like this (all done by different artists, I think) all over the city. Apparently a lot of tourists like to take their photos next to them or something because like 10 people came by and had pics taken in front of that heart while I was sitting around.
Also, hello, woman wearing leggings and not covering her lumpy butt! So nice to see you!

The only passable/remotely artistic photo I took. :U all of these are snapshots.

There was a little art showing in the square that day. There was actually some pretty neat stuff, considering.

I have no idea why this was here.

Svaroski's window display is really cool!

Close-ups:

Random SF city worker being patted on the head by another SF city worker. Also, some of our famous cable cars.

At dinner. My rings (the heart w/stripes and fouled anchor is the new one) and a half finished caipirinha. Have I mentioned how much I fucking LOVE caipirinhas? I have been meaning to pick up some cachaca so I can make my own. I would be drunk all the time.
I had a really badass burger.

DESSERT. Flemings' makes the best best damned lava cakes I have ever had. And then they give you pistachio cookies, pistachio/vanilla ice cream and then whipped cream (that's home made and really thick and amazing) on the side.
It takes like 3 people to eat one because they are so rich. But my dad and I alone took one out that night and thankfully neither of us felt overly full or sick.
TL;DR: my normal caloric intake for a week displayed in a single photo.

What I wore that day. Wearin' one of the h.NAOTO pieces I picked up at Fanime. (h.NAOTO US is the best. thing. ever. because they are in US sizes for US prices/cheaper than most stuff you'd get at the mall. I don't even.)

My trusty oxblood docs. They will remain with me forever.
