The implications for photography are profound - not because of an absurd reductionist notion that the essence of photography can be located in a photon or a neurone and thus physics can predict politics - but rather because quantum systems and brain science serve as portals to the edge of logos, from which vantage point the flaws inherent in a conception of photography that derives from reason become apparent. It is then possible to conceive of photography as an emergent phenomenon beyond a linear rhetoric of content, measurement and description. The auto-destructive energy of capitalism must be gestalted by the life-force of photonic energy, flowing through the meta-superconductor that is photography.
