Track 1: Translational Science in Arrhythmia
Cardiac Arrhythmia means irregular heartbeats or heart rhythm where muscles of heart contract in a coordinated fashion to insure that blood is been efficiently pumped into the arteries and the extra heart beat are due to premature atrial contraction and premature ventricular contraction. Cardiology division and cardiology labs continue to improve patient health through various scientific innovation. It includes various subtopics such as premature atrial contractions, premature ventricular contractions, atrial fibrillation, multifocal atrial tachycardia, Non-reentrant arrhythmia, re-entrant arrhythmia, brady arrhythmia, and wolff-parkinson-white syndrome. Out of this Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome (WPW) is one of the disorder of electrical system of the heart which are commonly referred to as pre-excitation syndromes which is caused by the presence of an abnormal accessory electrical conduction pathways between the atria and ventricles.

Atrial contraction is the premature heartbeat originating in the atria, whereas ventricular contractions are extra abnormal heartbeats that begin in one of heart to low pumping chambers. Generally premature beats are unknown but still patients having PAC which have no heart disease (cardiac health). Various types of treatments are done for PAC and PVC. Treatment for PAC are such as beta blockers or calcium blockers that are been used. Most important treatment, after ruling out that severe underlying heart condition, is patient reassurance and teaching of various mechanisms. And treatment for PVC is doing medications, lifestyle changes and radio catheter ablation. The subtopics that deals with the topics are clinical importance of premature contractions, causes of PACs & PVCs, verdict and treatment for premature atrial contractions, verdict and for treatment of the pre-mature ventricular contractions, atrial and ventricular fibrillation, clinical trials of atrial and ventricular.

9th Annual Meeting on Arrhythmia and Cardiac Surgery
July 14 - 15, 2016 Brisbane , Australia.
Theme: “New frontiers in the field of Arrhythmia and Cardiac Surgery”
An arrhythmia is a problem with the rate or rhythm of the heartbeat. During an arrhythmia, the heart can beat too fast, too slow, or with an irregular rhythm. A heartbeat that is too fast is called tachycardia. A heartbeat that is too slow is called bradycardia. For understanding arrhythmias first have to understand the heart's internal electrical system. The heart's electrical system controls the rate and rhythm of the heartbeat. With each heartbeat, an electrical signal spreads from the top of the heart to the bottom. As the signal travels, it causes the heart to contract and pump blood. Most arrhythmias are harmless, but some can be serious or even life threatening. During an arrhythmia, the heart may not be able to pump enough blood to the body. Lack of blood flow can damage the brain, heart, and other organs.
Summary:
Arrhythmia management involves the use of a variety of products that enable clinicians to detect the presence of cardiac arrhythmias and determine their nature and extent, allowing the selection of appropriate treatment protocols, evaluation of chosen therapies, and establishment of patients' long-term prognoses. The field incorporates therapeutic analysis and treatment of premature atrial fibrillation, premature ventricular fibrillation, aortic valve replacement, stem cell therapy, heart ablation and so on.
Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the world and the leading cause of death in the United States. Cardiovascular surgeries, thoracic surgeries, paediatrics cardiac surgery, catheter ablation are performed in order to control the death rate which is due to cardiac diseases and disorders.
Importance & Scope:
Electrical cardio version, Catheter ablation, Cardiac resyncorziation therapy, Implantable Cardioverter - defibrillator (ICD), Aortic valve replacement, Cardiac stem cell therapy are considered as the recent innovations in arrhythmia and are the future for the surgical treatments. This treatment has gone further to in different applications has boosted the Anti – Arrhythmic drugs in market.
