Roadmap
ArchivesSpace is community-supported software
Our development priorities are set by our membership community and funds for development are provided primarily through membership. We aim to put out two releases a year, though we may put out additional releases if urgent updates are needed. We publish and update our roadmap as work progresses.
Every release of ArchivesSpace includes improvements in many areas, including:
Adding New Functionality
Fixing Bugs
Maintaining and Upgrading the Technologies of the Application
Facilitating integrations with other applications
The ArchivesSpace Governance Board has also created a Strategic Roadmap for FY 2026 to FY 2030 that outlines strategies for four different areas of the program: Technology, Governance, Community Engagement, and Resources. Technology strategies are also reflected on the development roadmap.
