The OSR is dead? am I a necromancer or something?
This is a weblog about my fantasy adventure games or RPGs for short. Don’t expect regularity. Or quality. Catch some of my work on my itchio page
I am the author of a critically appreciated OSR module, Stirring of the Slumbering God, which was featured in The No-Artpunk Compilation II.
I also have a Neocities site at melnlumnijwic.neocities.org. Be warned, I am bad at web design and that project is sort of on the backburner. There might even be artpunk content hidden there.
Definition of Mu
1. A Greek letter that looks like M.
2. A lost continent in the pacific ocean analogous to Lemuria.
3. Nothing, neither yes nor no. The sound made by the Holy Chao, the singular form of chaos, which is the same as the sound of one hand clapping.
4. (As MU or M-U) Acronym for Magic User.
5. A Chinese unit of surface area: 666 and 2/3 meters squared.
Definition of OSR
1. Old School Rungeonsanddragons (the orthodox definition). This is the only one I use.
2. Old Shitty Rules (the Runequest heresy).
3. Any RPG or RPG content or RPG reminiscent thing that is related to old school D&D in any miniscule way by six or fewer degrees of seperation (the DTRPG heresy).
4. Any RPG that has few rules and the fewer rules it has the more OSR it is (the Knave heresy).
5. Any RPG that is DIY and the more you do yourself the more DIY it is (the Itchio heresy).
