<strong>plataforma en memoria distribuida<\/strong> para procesar grandes vol\u00famenes de datos. La plataforma se centra en proporcionar una alta <strong>escalabilidad<\/strong> y un buen rendimiento para realizar procesamiento de datos en memoria. Para conseguir una escalabilidad elevada, Apache Ignite <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/particiones-datos\/\">particiona los datos<\/a><\/strong> y los distribuye entre los componentes del cl\u00faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apache Ignite es una base de datos distribuida centrada en la memoria, es una plataforma de almacenamiento en cach\u00e9 y de procesamiento para cargas de trabajo transaccionales, anal\u00edticas y <a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/stream-processing\/\">de streaming<\/a> que ofrece velocidades en memoria a escala de petabytes.<\/p>\n<cite>Apache Ignite<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La plataforma est\u00e1 compuesta por varios <strong>componentes<\/strong>. Adem\u00e1s, este entorno puede ser una cloud p\u00fablica como Azure o <a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/aws-conceptos-basicos\/\"><strong>AWS<\/strong><\/a> o bien una cloud h\u00edbrida o privada. Tambi\u00e9n existe la opci\u00f3n de desplegar Apache Ignite en contenedores <a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/introduccion-docker\/\"><strong>Docker<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"data-grid\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Data-Grid\"><\/span>Data Grid<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Data Grid es un concepto que permite aumentar el rendimiento de las aplicaciones. La idea principal consiste en un <strong>Hashmap distribuido<\/strong>, o un almacenamiento de datos del tipo <strong>clave-valor<\/strong> distribuido. Concretamente, esta colecci\u00f3n de datos se va a encontrar en memoria, lo que reduce dr\u00e1sticamente las latencias de acceso y posibilita su uso como una cach\u00e9. Un caso de uso t\u00edpico de Data Grid es ejecutar sobre fuentes de datos tradicionales, por ejemplo <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/bases-de-datos-relacionales\/\">bases de datos relacionales<\/a><\/strong>, y servir como un mecanismo para acelerar sus consultas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Generalmente, los Data Grids tambi\u00e9n tienen capacidad de procesamiento y determinados mecanismos para colocar este procesamiento en el lugar donde se encuentran los datos. Es una manera de aprovechar el poder compartido de la CPU y memoria RAM de varios nodos. Apache Ignite se desarroll\u00f3 inicialmente como un Data Grid aunque actualmente es mucho m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"483\" src=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/data-grid-apache-ignite-1024x483.png\" alt=\"Arquitectura Data Grid\" class=\"wp-image-1029\" style=\"width:768px;height:362px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/data-grid-apache-ignite-1024x483.png 1024w, https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/data-grid-apache-ignite-300x141.png 300w, https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/data-grid-apache-ignite-768x362.png 768w, https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/data-grid-apache-ignite-1536x724.png 1536w, https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/data-grid-apache-ignite.png 1907w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Data Grid<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El <a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/apache-ignite-comandos\/\"><strong>cl\u00faster de Ignite<\/strong><\/a> de la figura consiste en N servidores en el que los datos est\u00e1n distribuidos de forma balanceada entre todos estos nodos del cl\u00faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los usuarios pueden usar la memoria RAM no solo como una capa de cach\u00e9, sino como una capa de almacenamiento completa. La <strong>persistencia de los datos<\/strong> se puede activar o desactivar y permite conectarse a m\u00faltiples sistemas. En el caso de que se desactive, Ignite se comporta como una base de datos distribuida en memoria. Esta persistencia de datos es escalable, soporta transacciones y SQL de forma transparente para las aplicaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ignite-como-base-de-datos\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ignite-como-Base-de-Datos\"><\/span>Ignite como Base de Datos<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cuando se activa la persistencia, Ignite se convierte en una base de datos <strong>escalable<\/strong> que garantiza la <strong>consistencia<\/strong> de los datos y no es necesario tener el dataset completo con los datos e \u00edndices en memoria, reduciendo as\u00ed los tiempos de precarga en el reinicio del sistema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ignite hace uso de la memoria <strong>off-heap<\/strong> para almacenar los datos. Esta regi\u00f3n de la memoria se encuentra fuera del heap de Java, lo que evita pausas en el cl\u00faster debido al Garbage Collector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seg\u00fan el <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/teorema-cap\/\">teorema CAP<\/a><\/strong>, Apache Ignite puede configurarse para ser un sistema AP, garantizando la disponibilidad y tolerancia a particiones sacrificando la consistencia. Sin embargo, su dise\u00f1o se inclina m\u00e1s hacia un sistema CP, que sacrifica la disponibilidad para garantizar la consistencia de los datos con mecanismos como commits de varias fases y control de concurrencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group pre-su\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\"><div class=\"su-service\"><div class=\"su-service-title\" style=\"padding-left:44px;min-height:30px;line-height:30px\"><i class=\"sui sui-info-circle\" style=\"font-size:30px;color:#e74273\"><\/i> \u00bfQuieres Convertirte en Ingeniero de Datos?<\/div><div class=\"su-service-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"padding-left:44px\"><br>Consigue empleo con el <a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/curso-ingeniero-datos\/\">programa acelerado de Data Engineer<\/a><br><\/div><\/div><\/pre>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<style>.pre-su pre {<br \/>\n\tbackground-color: #fffae9 !important;<br \/>\n}<br \/>\n<\/style>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Asumiendo que Apache Ignite es un sistema CP y que no podemos garantizar disponibilidad total frente a problemas en la red, si podemos tomar algunas acciones para maximizarla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entre estas opciones se encuentran la configuraci\u00f3n de las copias de backup que realiza el sistema, el ajuste de las zonas de disponibilidad en el caso de que aplique a nuestro despliegue, la replicaci\u00f3n de datos a otro cl\u00faster separado y mediante la persistencia de datos en sistemas externos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cache-de-datos\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cache-de-datos\"><\/span>Cach\u00e9 de datos<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como ya hemos comentado, Apache Ignite se puede usar como una <strong>cach\u00e9 de datos <\/strong>para una o varias fuentes de datos m\u00e1s lentas, como por ejemplo bases de datos relacionales, <a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/como-seleccionar-base-de-datos-nosql\/\"><strong>NoSQL<\/strong><\/a> o <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/hdfs\/\">HDFS<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al actualizar los datos en la cach\u00e9 de Ignite, estos <strong>cambios se propagan<\/strong> al almacenamiento original. El <strong>n\u00famero de r\u00e9plicas <\/strong>se puede configurar en funci\u00f3n de los requisitos del sistema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La replicaci\u00f3n de los datos en varios nodos del cl\u00faster permite garantizar la <strong>alta disponibilidad<\/strong> del sistema, y que si un nodo deja de estar disponible, las operaciones son servidas por otro nodo que se encontraba manteniendo la copia de los datos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hay dos conceptos en torno a la estrategia de distribuci\u00f3n de los datos en el cl\u00faster:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cache-particionada\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cache-particionada\"><\/span>Cach\u00e9 particionada<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En este caso, los datos son distribuidos en funci\u00f3n de su clave entre los nodos del cluster. Cada una de las claves dispone de una copia en otro nodo a modo de backup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En este escenario, cada nodo contiene una <strong>porci\u00f3n del dataset completo<\/strong>.
