es Kubernetes?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kubernetes es un sistema de orquestaci\u00f3n de contenedores open source desarrollado originalmente por Google. Su versi\u00f3n inicial fue publicada en el a\u00f1o 2014, y desde entonces no ha parado de crecer hasta convertirse en l\u00edder. Est\u00e1 escrito en el <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/introduccion-go\/\">lenguaje de programaci\u00f3n Go<\/a><\/strong> y a menudo se suele abreviar como \u00abK8s\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Y te preguntar\u00e1s: <strong>\u00bfqu\u00e9 es un sistema de orquestaci\u00f3n de contenedores?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los contenedores como Docker nos facilitan empaquetar y distribuir las aplicaciones. Con la creciente adopci\u00f3n de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/microservicios\/\">arquitecturas de microservicios<\/a><\/strong>, mantener y administrar todas estas aplicaciones que trabajan juntas no es tarea f\u00e1cil. Aqu\u00ed es donde entra en juego Kubernetes, que nos permite automatizar el despliegue de estas aplicaciones, gestionar su escalabilidad y las operaciones de mantenimiento. Muchos proveedores cloud tambi\u00e9n lo ofrecen como servicio, por ejemplo el servicio <strong>AKS<\/strong> (Azure Kubernetes Service) o <strong>EKS<\/strong> (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kubernetes se ha convertido en el est\u00e1ndar de facto para la orquestaci\u00f3n de contenedores. Hoy en d\u00eda, la mitad de las organizaciones que ejecutan contenedores usan Kubernetes, ya sea en clusters autogestionados o a trav\u00e9s de un proveedor cloud.<\/p>\n<cite>Datadog<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"arquitectura-de-kubernetes\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Arquitectura-de-Kubernetes\"><\/span>Arquitectura de Kubernetes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un cluster de Kubernetes agrega los recursos computacionales disponibles en la infraestructura para ejecutar las aplicaciones en contenedores. Cada m\u00e1quina del cluster (f\u00edsica o virtual) es un nodo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En este cl\u00faster existen dos tipos de nodos. Los nodos master son los encargados de gestionar el cl\u00faster. Los nodos worker son los encargados de ejecutar los contenedores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"nodo-master\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nodo-Master\"><\/span>Nodo Master<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el nodo master de Kubernetes ejecuta el <strong>servidor de API<\/strong>. Este servidor es con el que se comunica la CLI: <em>kubectl<\/em>. Adem\u00e1s, ejecuta tambi\u00e9n el <strong>planificador<\/strong> encargado de gestionar el uso de recursos y repartir la carga de trabajo en los nodos workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En estos nodos master ejecutan los <strong>controller manager<\/strong>, encargados de mantener el estado correcto del cluster (replicas, endpoints, balanceadores, recursos cloud, etc)<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2524\" height=\"1484\" src=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kubernetes-arquitectura.png\" alt=\"Arquitectura y componentes en Kubernetes\" class=\"wp-image-3456\" style=\"width:600px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kubernetes-arquitectura.png 2524w, https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kubernetes-arquitectura-300x176.png 300w, https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kubernetes-arquitectura-1024x602.png 1024w, https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kubernetes-arquitectura-768x452.png 768w, https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kubernetes-arquitectura-1536x903.png 1536w, https:\/\/aprenderbigdata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kubernetes-arquitectura-2048x1204.png 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2524px) 100vw, 2524px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Arquitectura y componentes en Kubernetes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por \u00faltimo, Kubernetes usa <a href=\"https:\/\/etcd.io\/\">etcd<\/a> como almacenamiento de tipo clave-valor para mantener el estado y la consistencia de todo el cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"nodo-worker\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nodo-Worker\"><\/span>Nodo Worker<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los nodos worker ejecutan los pods que hayan sido planificados. Para ello, el componente llamado <em><strong>kubelet<\/strong><\/em> se encarga de ejecutar y monitorizar los pods de ese nodo. Adem\u00e1s, es el componente encargado de reportar los recursos disponibles del nodo. En estas m\u00e1quinas tambi\u00e9n ejecuta <em>kube-proxy<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"componentes-de-kubernetes\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Componentes-de-Kubernetes\"><\/span>Componentes de Kubernetes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En esta secci\u00f3n, vamos a mencionar y explicar brevemente los componentes m\u00e1s importantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"pods\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pods\"><\/span>Pods<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un Pod de Kubernetes es una <strong>agrupaci\u00f3n l\u00f3gica de componentes<\/strong>. Los pods contienen al menos un contenedor y sus componentes se despliegan en un mismo host compartiendo los recursos. Estos contenedores comparten red y almacenamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta es la unidad m\u00ednima que  se usa para planificar y distribuir la carga del sistema. No se recomienda a los usuarios manejar pods directamente, sino usar las abstracciones sobre estos, como pueden ser los Deployments, stateful sets o daemon set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"volumenes\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Volumenes\"><\/span>Vol\u00famenes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los vol\u00famenes permiten asignar <strong>almacenamiento persistente<\/strong> a los pods. Los datos contenidos en este almacenamiento no se pierden cuando el pod se reinicia y tambi\u00e9n se puede usar como almacenamiento compartido para los contenedores dentro del mismo pod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"replica-sets\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Replica-Sets\"><\/span>Replica Sets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Permiten mantener pods replicados en el sistema. De esta forma, se puede garantizar la <strong>alta disponibilidad<\/strong> de sus componentes. Para ello, debemos configurar un pod con varias r\u00e9plicas o instancias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"stateful-sets\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Stateful-Sets\"><\/span>Stateful Sets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los <a href=\"https:\/\/kubernetes.io\/docs\/concepts\/workloads\/controllers\/statefulset\/\">StatefulSets<\/a> proporcionan caracter\u00edsticas como identificadores \u00fanicos y consistentes para las redes y el almacenamiento, as\u00ed como algunas restricciones que garantizan el orden de ciertas operaciones, como las relacionadas con el escalado y el despliegue. Son perfectos para desplegar aplicaciones con estado como pueden ser bases de datos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"servicios\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Servicios\"><\/span>Servicios<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es un conjunto de pods que trabajan juntos para proporcionar un servicio concreto.
