Fleeing the land of Starbucks Coffee and ridiculously-hopped beer (Seattle) with his wife and five cats, Jeff Watkins has found tranquility beside the Water of Leith in Edinburgh, Scotland. Together, they have founded Thoughtful Apes — a boutique consultancy dedicated to helping startups thrive.

Jeff has been an engineering leader, mentor, and public speaker for more than three decades. He spent ten years at Apple where he worked on core iOS frameworks and apps delivered via the App Store. It’s not his fault Game Center had either green felt or “those bubbles”.
