Turritopsis nutricula is the coolest of the cnidarians, and let me tell you why. These critters, having matured, don't fuck off and die as most cnidarians do. Instead, they can restore their youth and revert to polyp form, thus rendering themselves functionally immortal. I mean damn, what a bamf! So far there's no knowledge of how many times they can do this. The process is called transdifferentiation. Check this shit out, guys, it's really cool.
