I'm working in the weather office at McMurdo from September 2015 to February April 2016 for summer season and slightly into the winter. This is my seventh season here -- I did five summers between 2001 and 2014 and also wintered in 2003. (My Antarctic season total is twelve: 7 McMurdo, 5 Pole.)
Every day I post a new picture so my family will know that I'm still alive.
(The first part of this picture journal from February to November 2012 covered my fourth and final winter at South Pole Station. The second part from August 2013 to March 2014 covered my fifth McMurdo summer.)
