I've noticed that I've grown quite fannish over several shows but am not exactly fic fannish about them (though I've read and listened to fic about them to a small extent). Those include BBC Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Glee.

PREFERENCES:
I am anti-fluff. I am interested in redemption, shared delight in intimacy, authentically earned intimacy, healing, acceptance of darkness/weakness, power interplay, vulnerability, witty dialogue, authors that expect their audience to think while reading, authors that like to discuss their work with readers, very carefully constructed plots and/or characterization, and fantabulous smoking hot porn. I like AU, esp. in bandom, but no matter the universe, I love to read the characters/people in believable character.

RECS:
My all-time favorite fics are Drop Dead Gorgeous by sarahtales, Danse Russe by frayach, The Shoebox Project by ladyjaida and dorkorific, Comfort Food by arsenicjade, and The Magician's Gifts by rurounihime. I'd rec anything by those guys. My fixation with each of these stories showed me something very important about myself. Plus, hot. I'd also rec anything by pir8fancier, byblythe, calanthe_fics, vaysh, and pushdragon. Bandom favs to be added soon. I've really enjoyed bexless and novembersmith and fluffontop.

The Coherency Obstacle, a Ginny/Astoria, Harry/Draco 30k fic about same sex attraction in the midst of a het marriage. nc-17.

Salt and Magic, a Harry/Draco drabble for Harry's 30th birthday that I wrote. And then I promptly got shit-faced. PG.

For the Best, a continuation ficlet for Salt and Magic. I wrote it and promptly decided I needed to boycott h/d or die in a messy puddle of emo goo. The boycott did not last long. PG.

The End of Possibility, a thought exercise about Deathly Hallows where Harry meets Draco at King's Cross, instead of Dumbledore. PG.

What Is Dark?, a Harry/Draco series where Harry may or many not be a good guy, but is definitely topping the fuck out of Malfoy. Or is he? WIP. nc-17.
