In this paper, I’ll try to examine the ideas and the approach of Strange and will try to point ou... more In this paper, I’ll try to examine the ideas and the approach of Strange and will try to point out the advantages and disadvantages of a multipolar world to the governance of international trade, finance, production and technology. Strange has argued that structural power within the international political economy (IPE) has four dimensions; security, production, finance, and knowledge. Understanding these four dimensions is crucial to comprehend Susan Strange. Therefore, in the first subtopic, I’ll try to explain the main theme of Strange’s ideas and will explain the four structure. Later on, I’ll try to classify the advantages and disadvantages of these structures. I’ll be building the grounds of this research paper from the sources such as Strange’s books and other’s work about her. And as the last subtopic, I will try to build a framework about the expanding strategies of multinational corporations after the covid-19 period.

Foucault's work is divided into three periods. Foucault, who named his first period of studies as... more Foucault's work is divided into three periods. Foucault, who named his first period of studies as "archeology" and second period as "genealogy", focuses on "ethics" in his third period. Foucault builds his ethical ideas on the grounds of his studies of ancient Greek and Roman societies. In this context, he defines ethics as the "relationship of the self with itself " and points out "the practices of the self" to be formed as a moral subject. Foucualt sees ethics as an opportunity to resist the governance of modern power. The creativity dimension that pushes Foucault to a distinction between morality and ethics comes out with the individual's freedom and ethics, which's ontological condition is freedom, is a positive form of freedom for Foucault, who adopts the understanding of positive freedom. The ethics, established with a creative dimension and freedom condition, add a new one to its features and gains an aesthetic meaning. Although because of his third period of studies, there are criticisms about Foucault that he has moved away from the political to an aesthetic dimension, this is wrong because ethics is very political as a resistance against the relations of power.

Gelişmekte ve nüfusu artmakta olan dünyanın enerji ihtiyacı da bütün bu büyümelerle doğru orantılı olarak artmaktadır. Bu ihtiyacı karşılamak için var olan enerji kaynakları yeterli gelmemekte ve bu da yeni enerji kaynaklarının aranmasına zemin hazırlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı fosil yakıtlar arasında dünya genelinde kullanım alanı giderek yaygınlaşan ve tüketim miktarı hızla artan doğalgazın dünyadaki ekonomik ve siyasi etkilerini göstermektir Her ne kadar doğalgaz tarihi çağlardan beri bilinen ve kullanılan bir enerji kaynağı olsa da ekonomik önemini henüz yakın tarihte kazanmıştır. Nitekim tarihçiler geçmişte petrol arayanların doğalgazla karşılaştıklarında sevinmediklerini, tam tersine hayal kırıklığı yaşadıklarını söylemektedir. Doğalgazın dünyadaki ekonomik ve siyasi etkileri özellikle Rusya ve Türkiye üzerinden ele almaya çalışılacak ve bu konunun Avrupa'ya olan etkilerinden bahsedilecek ayrıca siyasi ilişkileri nasıl ve ne kadar etkilediği de belirtilecektir. B. BİR ENERJİ KAYNAĞI OLARAK DOĞALGAZ Fosil yakıtlar grubundan hidrokarbon kökenli bir enerji kaynağı olan doğalgazın oluşumu konusunda farklı görüşler bulunmaktadır. Ancak yaygın görüş, diğer fosil yakıtlar gibi doğalgazın da milyonlarca yıl önce yaşamış bitki ve hayvan atıklarının yeraltında yüksek sıcaklık ve basınç etkisiyle kimyasal değişmeye uğramasıyla oluştuğu, yani organik kökenli olduğudur. 1Doğalgaz; gözenekli kayaçların boşluklarına sıkışmış olarak veya serbest halde bulunan renksiz, kokusuz ve hafif bir gazdır. Genellikle petrol sahalarında bulunur. Bileşimi metan, etan, bütan, propan, karbondioksit, oksijen, nitrojen, hidrojen sülfit gibi gazlar içermektedir.2 Doğalgazın diğer yaygın enerji kaynaklarıyla karşılaştırıldığında hem pozitif hem de negatif tarafları bulunmaktadır. Örneğin kömür ve petrol gibi fosil yakıtların kullanımı pek çok çevre sorununu da beraberinde getirmektedir. Yanmadan arta kalan katı atıklar ve partiküller, atmosfere salınan karbon monoksit ve karbondioksit gibi zararlı gazlar çevreyi ve canlı hayatını olumsuz bir şekilde etkilemektedir. Yakın dönemde meydana gelen kazalar ve afetler nedeniyle önemli enerji kaynaklarından biri olan nükleer enerjiye de nispeten kuşkuyla bakılmaktadır.
