First week of classes is over. Not quite as bad as I would have expected a 20-credit load to be. Brace for boring overview of my classes in 3... 2... 1...

Engineering Dynamics: A continuation of the engineering classes I've been taking. IEA was static and rigid bodies, Strengths was static and flexible bodies, Dynamics is moving on to moving and rigid bodies, and I've got something else later on that'll be moving and flexible bodies. Yay. The class seems good enough. Homework's never required, but there's random quizzes so it helps to do homework and reading so we're ready for those. Friends: Carol, Allan

Cognitive Psychology: My first 4000 level class, and after finishing this I'll be all set with my humanities/social sciences requirements. Doesn't seem like it'll be too hard. Much like Gen Psych, it just seems like it's a "read the book and you'll ace the class" thing, though this one has two projects involved; one is to make a chart of how our view of cognitive psychology has changed throughout the semester, and one is a "group" (two-person) project on a major concept learned in the course. Laboratory Introduction To Embedded Control: This is gonna be my problem class. It's basically we're given a computer program and a blimp or RC car, and we have to program these to do things. Unfortunately, I've never taken a programming class before, so I don't know what the heck's going on. Stupid Prof. Craig trying to make me fail at life by not teaching me anything about programming... >.< The concept of the class seems fun enough, but there's little to no chance I'll understand any of it by the end of the semester. At least I understood the binary/hex translations we did in the first lecture. Friends: Dan Hunt, Grandma

Japanese 2: If I can actually catch back up, this class should be easy. I kinda forgot most of the Japanese I stuff, so I gotta relearn a lot of that before I have any hope here. But considering that's a review, rather than seeing the stuff for the first time, it should be easy enough, so long as I actually work at it. One project due towards the end of the semester to prove that we're actually grasping the Japanese language. Also a group (two-person) project, so that should be somewhat simple. Modeling and Analysis of Uncertainty: So far this is just "Here's data, here's fifty different ways to plot data." People rated the prof as horrible on ratemyprofessor.com, but she doesn't seem THAT bad... yet. Several projects in this class, and I think all but the first are two-person group projects. Orchestra: Sucks as bad as always, but at least Gibson picked us better music this time. And by better, I mean that the percussion actually has something to play. Too bad I was the only percussionist to show up to our rehearsal last week. >.> Friends: Gabi, Chaz

Wow... so it didn't occur to me until I wrote this that four of my classes have group projects as a large part of the grade. Hopefully working with other people will help keep me on top of my work. Especially since I don't have much in the way of conventional homework, just lots of reading, so I don't really have much else to motivate me to keep up with my work. But yeah, that's the overview of my semester thus far. Yay.

Weekend of awesomeness! Went to Shayla's house, good times had by all.

Friday night consisted mostly of playing Wii and going out to dinner at Garfield's. I got a salad. But it was more meat than veggies, so it was good. =D

Saturday was DDR, watching Ouran High Host Club, playing more Wii, going to see Happy Feet (first time I'd seen it, fourth time she'd seen it), telling her gramma we went to see Eragon cause she'd kill Shayla for going to see Happy Feet again. Came back, Katie came over, we got Chinese food and watched Shrek 2.

Sunday was more Ouran High, and I was supposed to leave around one so that Shayla could get some homework done. About quarter till, one of her friends that she hasn't talked to since summer calls her up and is like "Hey! Do you and Danny wanna go bowling with me?" So we did. And I ended up leaving around 5 and I think she managed to get her homework done anyway. Yay!

She's the awesomest person ever. I think after this weekend, I'm energized enough to survive this upcoming hell-semester. Or at least until spring break. YAY SPRING BREAK!

Christmas break makes me lazy.

Anyway.... the weekend was ok, even if it didn't feel weekend-ish. I finished all my h/w last night, then stayed up talking to Liz and Tara cause they're problematic and need my help. So I went to bed around 11:30 and I was like tired all day today (except for in calculus, cause it was the last new lesson before our final exam. Yay!) Then there was an NHS activity thingy that I hadda go to to get service hours, so I didn't get home till like 6:30. Now I have homework to do, and nothing more to talk about, so... yeah.

Sorry, Liz. I know I promised you two updates this weekend. I was planning to post them when I got online last night, but... I never got on last night. Around 7, I asked Derek to switch over to me when he was done. I went to bed around 11:30, and I think he got off around 3 am. And since I was hanging out with Etta yesterday, I didn't bother doing any of my homework, so now I have massive english homework, along with a government project to start and finish today. So yeah, I don't really have time for a big update on life. I'll be back tomorrow to rant about going back to school, probably.

The week no longer is separated into school days and weekends... it all just blends together. I'm so tired, I just want it to be summer... Blah...

Anyway, last weekend was pretty cool. Very little homework, and Saturday night I hung out with Bethany and a group she had gotten together. We went to La Rosa's, then went back to her house and watched/made fun of From Russia with Love and Goldeneye. Mark, Alex, and I were all comparing Goldeneye to the N64 version. We're nerds. Sunday I went to church, and that's about it. Yesterday... heck, I hardly even remember yesterday happening. It can't have been that eventful. And today wasn't much better... Very strange dream last night, but very few people will ever know the details... muahahaha! >.>

Today, I went bowling. I did good, I got a 126, 185, and 192. Then I came home and did stuff... yup. That was today. >.> Boring, huh? But I have plans for tonight. Goin out for pizza, then watchin James Bond! Wheee!

Yesterday, the band went on a field trip to the orchestra. I almost fell asleep a few times while we were there. But there were a couple other schools that had groups there, and I saw an old friend that used to go to my church. I didn't even recognize her, cause it's been like 4 years, but she somehow recognized me, and I got her number, so it's all good.

Then the day before... uh... well, I don't remember what happened then, so... yeah. See how exciting my life is? =D

Ok, so at the request of a few of my friends (mostly Etta, but I think Tara and Liz have mentioned it a few times), I'm gonna try updating my LJ again. I have plenty to rant about, I'm just usually too lazy to actually go and rant in my LJ.

Anyway, it's Monday. English was pretty boring, as usual, but I learned that there is no such thing as good American literature. Huge project to do, and no one worth doing it on. We decided to do it about Edgar Allen Poe, and hope we can make a decent project out of that. I guess we'll just see what happens. On to calculus, where we had a test, which most of us managed to butcher (as usual). Ah, well. One more chapter, a month of review, then the AP exam. Then I think we're kinda just taking it easy for the last month of school (at least, I hope we are). The rest of the day was pretty normal; lunch, chemistry, government, and english were very uneventful. So much so, that I really can't remember what happened in any of them. Oh, well. Came home, played .Hack, did homework, got online. All fun stuff, I guess.

Yeah, I'm still here. Not much happening... Spring Break's over, and I only have like one more weekday off before the end of school. Ok, so not much has happened this week. I'll post what little has happened, though. Ok, I had nothing interesting at school, besides the fact that my stomach was upset on Wednesday and I had to come home early. We were supposed to be doing archery in gym, but Fern couldn't find the archery net, and he doesn't want us shooting holes through the bleachers, so we're doing basketball (what fun (loads of sarcasm, if you can't tell)).

Hmm.... what else have I accomplished this week? Not much, really... I got a bunch of high scores on Neopets, if anyone plays there (my SN is AniDanny, if you want to make me your neofriend). Hmm... anything else.... Not that I can think of. Well, I'm off to do stuff online (won't that be fun). Fare thee well! (If ya don't know much about medieval stuff, that means "goodbye" =D)

Ok, so who wants to hear about my extremely long night? ::Silence:: Okay then! I went to the lock-in last night (my tummy stopped hurting ^_^). We had 26 youth show up, and 4 adults. Here's my whole schedule for what's happened over the last... uh... I've lost track of time. Oh, well.

Friday (no school!):
8:00-Got up, played video games/went online.
1:00-Took a shower, had lunch, went online some more.
6:30 or so-Ate dinner then watched the rest of survivor episode 5, and then went back online.
9:45-left for church lock-in.
10:00-10:30-Waited for more people to show up.
10:30-12:00-Played games.
Saturday (new day already?):
12:00-12:30-Ate pizza (pineapple, the best kind there is)
12:30-??:??-Watched Miss Congeniality at the lock-in. (Half asleep while watching it)
??:??-??:??-Played more games.
??:??-6:30-Watched George of the Jungle. (half asleep though that too)
6:50-Left the lock-in.
7:10-Got home, got online.
7:15-Started on live journal entry.
7:25-Posted live journal entry.
(Future):
Somewhere from now till 9:00-Take a shower
9:15-Leave for bowling
11:30 till night-Hang around the house seeing how long it takes for me to just fall down from tiredness... That'll probably be before 2:00.

Not much has happened in my life lately. I just felt like putting a new entry so you'd all know I'm still alive. Hey, Butt Ugly Martians is on in 15 minutes. Does anyone care? ::Crickets chirp:: YOU LYING CRICKETS! Oh, well.

Hm... anything happened lately worth posting? Well, I've been doing pretty good bowling in gym class ::Everyone applauds:: I have like a 122 average and 167 high game. And one of my team mates has around a 140 average, with a high of 196. In case you don't know much about bowling, that's a good score.

There's a lock-in at my church tonight, starting at ten. I'm not sure if I'm going, cause my tummy hurts v_v ::Sniffle:: If I do, then I'll get home around 7 tomorrow morning, then I get to go bowling at like 9:30. And then I'll get home and won't be able to fall back asleep, and I'll be dead by tomorrow night. I'm gonna see how long I can go without any sleep. That's probably not healthy, but oh, well ^_^
