Synne

Be ǣfter Godes, syn is yfel þing þe God nyle þæt folc dōn. Hit wæs geworht fram deofle, and ealle menn hæfdon læstan synn ænigfeald (butan Iesus Crīst sylf and Maria, Cristes modor). Þā seofon mǣran synna, oððe þā seofon deaðlicu synna, synd: ofermetto, gytsung, galnes, ānsar, ofermettignys, irre, and slǣwð.
