I had my regular afternoon meeting at the zoo and arrived to find it cancelled. Since I was in the city anyway I called my tattoist and he had a space for me. So 2 hours later tattoo number 7 emerged over my heart
And in the wonderful world of OZ that means winter is here. Supposedly.
My boss and I drove down to Wollongong, the next city down from Sydney. It takes a little over an hour. On tuesday it took two hours because of fog and rain.
We stayed over. If it had been nice weather I would have been in the ocean on Wednesday morning. It wasn't nice weather. And between us we knocked off three bottles of champagne for dinner so perhaps a swim would have been unwise anyway.
Thursday was a flight to Coffs Harbour, about 70 minutes up the coast in a turboprop. No pics as it was boring.
Friday evening a property valuer called in. The bank is taking the valuer who valued the house for the purchaser before I bought it (ie 2 sales ago) to court for overvaluing. He was impressed with what I had done to the house so far....oh and bought me a nice bottle of vodka to smooth his entry past the front door.
Saturday = tattoo day. Tiger is all finished.
sunday - the local flea market. I was wowed out and got a heap of renovation materials cheap. Also picked up 8 leadlight windows in their frames to refurbish for my windows here. They were cheap but not cheap at the same time - I remember being able to pick them up off the cleanup. Now people realise they are living in lovely art deco or californian bungalows which suit these windows and they are putting them back in.
