I delivered a preconference workshop on artificial intelligence, keeping ~85 people engaged through four hours of mixed lecture, discussion, and Q&A. Topics included:

- A high-level overview of how neural nets work
- A variety of examples of AI systems & use cases
- The role of training data
- Risks & ethical concerns
This workshop is suitable for an audience that’s literate about data and technology, but may or may not have programming experience.
