Hello!
Do you still own Gravis Ultrasound ACE mentioned in some post?
I’ve been looking for it for ages… If you would be interested in trade or exchange – please let me know.
(sorry for writing as a comment – I couldn’t find any other way to contact You).
Regards,
Pawel
I still have it installed and in use in my 486. unfortunately it is not for sale. They come up on eBay from time to time if your patient.
Would you happen to still have the Packard Bell Axcel 39CDT from a few years back?
If so would you be willing to part with it? (Sell/trade)
This was the first computer I bought that was truly mine (bought from Staples from the exact ad shown on the post. I even still have those shitty Labtec speakers)
Been looking for over 9 years
unfortunately I sold it some time ago.
Would you happen to have any of your Packard Bell computers?
I do not

Would you happen to still have that Packard Bell Axcel 39CDT? I used to have one of them, and have been looking for one for 9 years.
Do you have an HP recovery CD that would have been used with the Pavilion 3100 on your site? I need an image of it, if you do have it.
unfortunately I do not.
Hi. Going through old PC equip in the basement and pulled out a Bentley 286 5170 PC clone purchased in 1985 to see if it would still work. Completely dead with first switch on and found 4A power supply fuse was blown. Replaced with 3A SB I had around and now see slight twitch in fan blades when I turn switch on. Someone told me there are a couple of caps that need to be replaced to fix the PS. Do you know anything about this symptom/diagnosis? Where would you recommend I get a replacement PS if the capacitor replacement thing doesn’t bring it back to life? Thanks, Bert
What are the complete lyrics to your intro please?
“We review old technology and games —- —–, and don’t forget the dog (we did the —-), at Ancient Electronics, we cover it all.”
Do you have any other singing videos? I really like your voice.
Hi there!
great site! 🙂 I got an IBM 300 PL Model No. 6862-520.
I can identify there is an S3 Trio 3d graphics card on the board. – However all drivers I tried for Win98 failed. Can you help me with that?
Thank you in advance
I’m not sure what the exact problem should be. Drivers for the S3 Trio should be easily found online as it was a very common card. As a matter of fact I think Win98 should have drivers for it built-in. are you using Win 98SE?
I tried nearly all S3 drivers I could find on the Win98 Cd – without luck.
Googling so far brought nothing 🫠
maybe try these? scroll down to the S3 drivers.

I just discovered your Compaq Deskpro EN small form factor review from 2014 and I’m so grateful you included a sound card recommendation with it.
I’m experiencing the exact same issue you described (digital sound effects, but no MIDI music in all the games I’ve tested). But of course no ISA sockets so my old Sound Blaster 16 won’t work (and probably wouldn’t fit anyways).
So I just ordered a Sound Blaster Live! CT4780 for my system.
The only issue now is I haven’t been able to find working links to the drivers online anywhere (a couple of old threads that link to now-defunct websites). I don’t suppose you have any recommendations on where I might be able to find the same drivers you got?
Either way just knowing what sound card to get has been a huge help. Thanks!
-Chris
Vogons driver archive has a lot of different Live! drivers. you may find one there.

The problem with the Live! cards is there’s so many models that more or less look the same but use different drivers
I believe there’s a universal driver available now that uses modified Audigy drivers but I never bothered with it.
