Hi whoever is still coming here. Looking for a fic in which Luke thinks Reid is dead. He's living alone by a lake and drinking. Damian comes to help and Luke tells him he's been getting calls from Reid. Turns out, Reid is being held in a lab and they've experimented on him. Damian and Luke rescue him.

The flight to Texas was uneventful. In fact, the four “refugees” all took the opportunity to sleep with Sierra nestled against Luke’s chest and Seth nestled against Reid’s. The twins seemed at home and, as of yet, didn’t seem put out by the separation from Holden. Their young age made them almost completely oblivious to the drama going on around them the past several weeks. Initially, they had picked up on the grief they were surrounded with and it took several days for them to be able to sleep through the night again or eat proper meals but, as some of the grief subsided, so did their discontentment.

Reid waited until Luke was down for his scans and, once completed, had members of his surgical team sneak him out of the radiology department and directly into OR #4 where he was waiting already scrubbed up and gowned along with the remainder of his team. Not a second was spared and the surgery got underway as soon as Reid had a chance to look at the scans and determine how to proceed.
Meanwhile, Bob Hughes was down in the ER going from one exam room to another looking for Luke who should have returned from his scans twenty minutes prior. Having not found him anywhere, he called down to radiology and was told that the patient had been picked up nearly an hour ago.

Chapter 11

When the 911 dispatcher realized the call she’d just taken involved the significant other of one of Oakdale P.D.’s officers and that said officer was possibly the suspect in the events that took place in their home, she immediately notified her supervisor who, in turn, immediately notified Chief Munson and Detective Margo Hughes. Margo took it upon herself to break the news to Luke’s cousin, Jack, who insisted, despite everyone’s better judgement, to respond to the scene. What they all found there was a once peaceful neighborhood that had turned into a war zone with dozens of police cars, news vehicles, first responders, medical examiner vehicles, crime scene investigators, an ambulance and about a hundred neighbors that had come out to take in what was happening around them.
