What does UTP mean?
Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) is a type of used for networking and data transmission.
UTP consists of pairs of insulated copper wires twisted together. The twisting of the wires helps to reduce crosstalk, which is interference between adjacent pairs of wires.
UTP cables lack metallic or foil shielding, making them more susceptible to Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) compared to Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) cables or cables with additional shielding.
